Here's a Dem vs Republican sample for all to think about.

On my wife's side of the family there are about 15 people who have had their hand out waiting for someone to fill it as long as I've known them. NOT ONE will take the time to vote or if asked even know when to vote. If they did know maybe 5 would make the effort and only if someone was willing to chip in for gas. Almost all of them are home during the day with some sort of disability, depression etc... anything to make it so they don't have to go to work and get screwed by the employer and all the taxes that damned employer takes from their check. Yes! They actually believe its the employer. (Point is they're home and they talk to pollsters)
In our house of republicans and independents, and the ones I know, we've either already voted or will be there on the 7th.
Most of us hang up on pollsters by the way.

Well, I have a favor to ask of you and other freepers. I recently volunteered in MD for the Republican Party. We make phone calls urging people to support Ehrlich and Steele. We ask if they have voted absentee and if not, can we count on your support. I did this for the first time last night and I had some people hang up on me. I do mark on a sheet if people voted absentee or will refuse to support the Repubs. This is in Southern Maryland - Calvet Co. - so if any Freepers gets a call like this, please be polite. One of the volunteers is my wife. One thing I did not like about what I am doing is I am suppose to mark it down as a first call if the person I am speaking with says they will support the Repubs. I am told there will be a follow up call on election day. It makes me think that by pestering people so much, they will say the hell with it.
