Ahmadinejad said he will soon send a message to the American people in an apparent attempt to influence the U.S. public opinion over President George W. Bush's policy toward Iran. "We will issue a message to the American people ... many Americans have asked me to talk to them and offer my opinions to them. This message is being drawn up," he said. In August, Ahmadinejad called for a televised debate with Bush months after he wrote a letter to the U.S. president that Washington said was irrelevant and not addressing the key issue of Iran's disputed nuclear program. Iran Seeking to Partner With Al-Qaeda in Global Jihad

Iran is trying to form an alliance with al-Qaida by training the next generation of Global Jihad leaders to take over for Osama bin Laden, according to a report by the British Daily Telegraph.
According to the report, Iran is determined to take advantage of bin Laden's declining health to promote senior officials who are known to be friendly to Tehran.
The Iranians reportedly want Saif al-Adel, a 46-year-old former colonel in Egypt's special forces, to be the organization’s number three. Al-Adel, formerly bin Laden's head of security, was placed on the FBI's 22 most wanted list after September 11, 2001 for his involvement in attacks on US targets in Somalia and Africa in the 90s. He currently resides in Iran.

This Warden Message is being issued to warn of a string of violent attacks that have occurred in the southeastern micro districts of Bishkek over the past two days.
On Saturday November 11, 2006 between 0800 and 0130 November 12, three people were killed and two wounded in micro districts 6, 7 and 12. At this time a physical description of the perpetrator is not available. Two of the victims were old men and three victims were women ranging in age from 17-40. One person was discovered near the Orto-Say market. Another individual was found in a small forest in micro district 7. Three other individuals were found near apartment buildings in micro districts 6, 7 and 12.
The Embassy advises all individuals to increase their situational awareness when in these areas and review the following safety tips:
--Whenever possible, travel in pairs. If you must go out at night, advise a family member or other contact of your itinerary.
--Avoid walking at night in parks, alleys, low traffic areas and areas that are not well lit - including apartment stairwells and hallways.
--Always carry a charged cell phone.
--Keep your doors and windows locked.

UK: Cardiff mosque blaze
The Medina Mosque in Woodville Road, Cathays, Cardiff, has been the scene of previous controversy. The mosque cost £5 million to build, and was designed by architects from Cairo, Egypt
A mosque in Cardiff was on fire early Tuesday. The blaze began on the second floor (first floor US) and then spread to the roof. Fire crews were called at 8.25 am. The BBC states that police are looking for a man of Middle Eastern appearance who was seen in the area. The man is in his 20s, and wearing a dark hat and coat. (snip)
