ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Reuters) - The U.S. Embassy in Argentina rejected reports that it had told President George W. Bush's twin daughters to leave the country after a widely publicized purse-snatching incident.
ABC News reported on its Web site on Monday that embassy officials had "strongly suggested" that the twins, Jenna and Barbara Bush, cut short their visit to Buenos Aires due to security concerns.
Argentine officials confirmed last week that one of Bush's daughters had her purse stolen in San Telmo, a neighborhood popular with tourists. The incident led to teasing by Argentine media about the twins' seemingly ineffective Secret Service bodyguards.
"We have seen a report from news sources stating that embassy officials strongly suggested that President Bush's daughters curtail their visit in Argentina," the U.S. Embassy said in a written statement. "This is false."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Politicians faced extra security Monday at the Northern Ireland Assembly as they debated their failure to forge a Catholic-Protestant administration - an argument dramatically interrupted last week by a Protestant extremist with a bag full of nail bombs.
Security guards patrolled the manicured lawns of the Stormont government estate and two armed police officers flanked the entrance of Stormont Parliamentary Building, which convicted killer Michael Stone breached on Friday carrying a range of weapons. Two unarmed guards wrestled Stone, 51, to the ground as others evacuated politicians, journalists and civil servants from the building.
On Monday, both sides' politicians lauded the bravery of the guards who trapped Stone in a revolving door. British army experts dismantled at least six homemade nail bombs inside a bag Stone had been carrying.
"The devices that were defused may have been crude in nature, but were no less life-threatening for that," said Eileen Bell, speaker of the 108-member assembly, which wields the power to elect or block a Catholic-Protestant administration."

US Airways Expresses Regret At Removal Of Imams From Flight, Defends Crew
While the imams continue to do all they can to make this into an incident that will end all scrutiny of Muslims in airports, US Airways is still refusing to kowtow. From RTTNews, with thanks to Twostellas:
(RTTNews) - A spokeswoman for the US Airways Group Inc, the operator of the plane from which the six imams were removed on last Monday, expressed regret at the incident and said that the company is planning to meet with the imams later this week.
US Airways Group Inc. spokeswoman Andrea Rader said that the prayer was never the issue. She added that one passenger mistook the imams to be saying what he thought were anti-U.S. statements and informed the flight crew. Moreover the imams were moving about in the plane which forced the flight crew to consult with the airline about whether they might pose a security risk, she said.
"We're sorry the imams had a difficult time, but we do think the crews have to make these calls and we think they made the right one," she said.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 — A senior American intelligence official said Monday that the Iranian-backed group Hezbollah had been training members of the Mahdi Army, the Iraqi Shiite militia led by Moktada al-Sadr.
The official said that 1,000 to 2,000 fighters from the Mahdi Army and other Shiite militias had been trained by Hezbollah in Lebanon. A small number of Hezbollah operatives have also visited Iraq to help with training, the official said.
Iran has facilitated the link between Hezbollah and the Shiite militias in Iraq, the official said. Syrian officials have also cooperated, though there is debate about whether it has the blessing of the senior leaders in Syria.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said it will review the conduct of its employees who were involved with the removal of six Muslim imams from a November 20 domestic flight bound from Minneapolis to Phoenix.
Homeland Security press secretary Russ Knocke also told USINFO November 22 that the department is "opposed to the concept of racial profiling," and its profiling techniques are based on suspect behavior rather than targeting ethnicities or faiths.

A Mississippi Democrat in line to become chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee has warned the nation's largest uniform supplier it faces criminal charges if it follows a White House proposal to recheck workers with mismatched Social Security numbers and fire those who cannot resolve the discrepancy in 60 days. Rep. Bennie Thompson said in a letter to Cintas Corp. it could be charged with "illegal activities in violation of state and federal law" if any of its 32,000 employees are terminated because they gave incorrect Social Security numbers to be hired. "I am deeply troubled by Cintas' recent policy change regarding the Social Security Administration's 'no match' letters," Mr. Thompson said in the Nov. 2 letter. "It is my understanding that hundreds of Cintas' immigrant workers have received these letters. I am extremely concerned about any potentially discriminatory actions targeting this community." In June, President Bush proposed new guidelines concerning "no-match" letters from the Social Security Administration, saying he wanted to make it easier for employers to verify workers' eligibility and continue to hold them accountable for those they hire.

Six robbers armed with knives boarded a bulk carrier. They attempted to overcome the shore watchman who raised alarm. Duty Officer and crew rushed to assist. When confronted by crew, robbers jumped overboard and escaped empty handed.
19.11.2006 1900 LT, 06:06.2S-106:53.3E, Tg. Priok, Indonesia.
While crew were busy involved in discharging operations, robbers armed with steel bars managed to break into two stores and steal ship's stores. Upon seeing suspicious behaviour of shoreworkers on deck, duty crew informed the Duty Officer. Alarm raised and crew alerted. It was suspected the stevedores / shoreworkers may have been involved in the theft. Local authorities informed.

15 armed pirates in a boat approached a container ship drifting waiting for berth. One of them armed with a knife boarded at main deck between hatches one and two. Duty crew noticed the pirate and he jumped overboard and escaped in a boat. Alarm raised and crew
mustered. Vessel moved to new position about 90 nm NNE from harbour entrance. Master tried to contact Dar es Salaam signal station but no response received.

While berthed, about seven robbers boarded a bulk carrier via the gangway by mingling among the stevedores. They broke open store door using steel bars and stole ship's stores. Authorities contacted but no response. No injuries to crew.

He should not be allowed to do so -- not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.
First, it is an act of hubris that perfectly exemplifies multiculturalist activism -- my culture trumps America's culture. What Ellison and his Muslim and leftist supporters are saying is that it is of no consequence what America holds as its holiest book; all that matters is what any individual holds to be his holiest book.
Forgive me, but America should not give a hoot what Keith Ellison's favorite book is. Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible. If you are incapable of taking an oath on that book, don't serve in Congress."

Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That's 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.
Total U.S. troop deaths in Iraq as of last week were reported at 2,863. Total U.S. troop deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan during the five years of the Afghan campaign are currently at 289, according to the Department of Defense."
