With the recent s-storm caused by J.F. Kerry, he brought up his Viet Nam service again. This got me thinking. Whatever happened to the special form (SF-180) he was supposed to sign that would release his records?
I did a news search on Google and came up dry (literally) when querying on "kerry form 180". A web search was more useful but all of it was old. Same thing with the search engine up here on FR.
Just curious (but not about why the MSM gave him a total pass on this).

Ultimately released, if I recall. It included his Yale acadenic transcripts, which showed his grades were lower than Bush and that he earned a D in one claee. Thus John "D Student" Kerry.

I followed that all the way through the 04 election and afterwards. He never signed the SF-180 and everyone just gave him a pass on it because the election was over. He defamed his fellow soldiers in 71. He defamed our troops in Iraq in 05 and he has done it again. What the Main Street Press doesn't seem to understand (or don't want to) is that the Swift Boat Veterans had it right. He will never sign and release his SF-180 because he knows that would end his political career.

The fact that he would release his rotten grades shows you just how much worse the other stuff must be.

He has not signed the SF-180. He has [i]claimed[/i] to, but has only put information from it, in selected bits, either on his website or released it to reliable sycophants in the Drive-By Media.
Every Republican, when appearing with Kerry, should have a copy of the SF-180 and a pen handy for him. Let him splutter when he sees it!

Wasn't the fix or correction to his record made when the SECNAV changed it and SECNAV was none other then James Webb cadidate for Senate. Why doesn't Allen ask him to tell us what he knows about John Kerry?
John Kerry said he did sign the form, but no one ever told him to send it in.
It got deep six-ed by the very few people in this country who currently determine what is , and what is not, "News"! These people represent a FAR greater threat than any John Kerry type EVER will and we MUST find a way to defeat them!

Kerry will never release his SF-180. His latest comments against our wonderful military will let him keep his 180 to himself since his political career is over. If he isn't forced to resign, he will be gone in '08 for sure. There is no way he could run for anything in '08!
Kerry has been in the senate long enough to figure out a way to cleanse his files of reports of wrongdoing.I don't care what his records contain because I can look at all the evidence and see that he is a filthy fraud.
Exactly right. Kerry signed his form 180 but retained the right to approve all information released to the public. To my knowledge, Kerry approved release of most, but not all, of his records to the Boston Globe.
