"Vote as if your life depends upon it. Someone's life does! Be encouraged that you are not alone in your desire to see an end to the senseless violence against the most helpless of our brothers and sisters. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to care for the least of these. We can demonstrate our compassion by voting for pro-life candidates in the upcoming elections.
"My uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said: 'Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable. Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.'
"We must vote for life this year, and every year, because it is the right thing to do.
"Please, I urge you, do be distracted by political rhetoric. The most pressing civil rights issue of this season is the protection of the lives of the pre-born.
"Your vote counts. Please cast it, for life!"

Republicans and blacks, particularly middle class blacks have more in common than it would at first appear.
The GOP needs to take a stronger stand on issues that affect blacks and the sons and daughters of "Reagan Democrats" with things like vouchers for ALL children, career retraining programs. Lots of public middle schools could be converted to Our Lady of (fill in the blank) elementaries or high schools.

The Democrats want nothing good for black Americans. They want to make them poor, ignorant and reliant on the government.

This really isn't a surprise, the pro-life position is actually perfectly consistent with the ideas promoted by Dr. Martin Luther King. Although Dr. King's theology wasn't perfect [who has perfect theology except God?], it is obvious that a pro-abortion position and the ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King are contradictory. There are many obvious parallels between Dread Scott and Roe v Wade...
Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'
Martin Luther King Jr., Speech at Civil Rights March on Washington, August 28, 1963
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe?
Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular?
But conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;
but one must take it because it is right.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Man was born into barbarism
when killing his fellow man
was a normal condition of existence.
He became endowed with a conscience.
And he has now reached the day
when violence toward another human being
must become as abhorrent as eating another's flesh.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Why We Can't Wait, 1963
"An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. "
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values - that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
"Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"There is nothing more tragic than to find an individual bogged down in the length of life, devoid of breadth."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. "
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I'm sure there are more, I didn't spend much time looking...

I can hardly imagine what the 'Rats say about her. Only Democrats "love" the Lord on one hand and kill little unborn babies with the other...after all, they'll be born poor and would be better off dead, right? It's the most compassionate thing to do /sarcasm off
That's the kind of "love" we could all do without.
Praise the Lord for Dr. Alveda King!
