Bush to respond to Kerry @5PM EST.
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
I cannot tell you how proud I am to be the Commander-in-Chief of such incredibly brave men and women who have volunteered to wear the uniform of the United States. And even in the midst of a heated campaign season, there are still some things we should all be able to agree on and one of the most important is that every one of our troops deserves our gratitude and respect. Yesterday Democrat Senator John Kerry was speaking to a group of young people in California, and gave them this advice, quote: You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you dont you get stuck in Iraq.
The Senators suggestion that the men and women of our military are somehow uneducated is insulting and shameful. Our troops did not enlist because they did not study hard in school or do their homework. The men and women who serve in our all-volunteer Armed Forces are plenty smart and are serving because they are patriots and Senator Kerry owes them an apology.
Whatever party you belong to, whatever you think about the war in Iraq, we should all agree that our troops deserve our unwavering support. And when it comes to supporting our men and women in uniform, I dont have any doubt where Mac Collins is going to land. He is a strong supporter of the military. And he knows what I know: Any time you have American troops in harms way, they have the right to expect the full support of the American government.
I found some MSNBC links on another FR thread, but they don't work.

None of those work. And I just realized that XM has dropped them!
Bush: The US of American must be right 100% of the time and the enemy only has to be righ tonce. That's why I decided to work with Congress and professionals to change some things. It didn't make sense to have a wall between intel and law enforcement folks.
It might be hard to believe, but the folks couldn't share intelligence around 9/11. So I asked for the Patriot Act to tear down that wall.
GMTA! LOL
Kerry's press conference was in a lonely hotel room.
The President responds with an enthusiastic, cheering section of America.
(grin)
He is SMOKIN'!! Go W.!
You, ma'am, are an absolute treasure.
Week?! Oh, that's right...its all that's left! LOL! RATs can't flush this one down the memory hole....
I just about killed my TV there for a minute!

Bush:
This is a different kind of war. It's not WWII. We can't win by shooting down airplanes and taking land mass.
I felt it was important if an AQ affiliate was calling the US, we'd better know what they were calling about
Count heads.
I love it!
Go Bush!
Great, I see Fox "got" it
LOL, they must have checked around and seen people were going to MSNBC cause Fox wasn't showing Bush talking.
Now they are, cool!
AND he was on time....even if the media wasn't.
Bless this dear man. He know how to step up to the plate and swing for the bleachers. Another homerun is in the offing!
