"...point out, rather simply, that the Senator had the opportunity on 2 occasions already to mention the "missing two words" and declined to do so."

This is what proves, if it were not already so obvious, that the whole thing about a missing "two words" is just b.s. spin concocted by staffers who sat in some back office poring over Kerry's remark saying "let's see if we can find a way to massage this idiocy and pretend that Kerry meant to say something else!"

If Kerry knew that he omitted two crucial words that would have changed the whole thrust of his remark into a lame "joke" he would have been the first to claim that last night, or certainly by this morning!!

John Kerry was a key beneficiary of Berger's Burglaries
Rescued: Data the Kerry/Edwards Campaign Tried to DELETE from its site! (grandpa dave found cache)

Berger purloined all draft revisions of a key critique of the government's response
to the millennium terrorism threat, a document that detailed Administration knowledge
– and inaction – regarding al Qaeda presence in the U.S. in 1999
and 2000. Stolen were crucial notes in the margins of these drafts
which reveal the thinking and agendas of the
Clinton Administration relating to the mounting terrorist threat.

It is one thing to attack him, however to attack our troops is another thing.. Bush is the CIC and his job is to defend the troops...

This is an excellent point. Kerry's excuse at this point is, "I wasn't mocking the military, I was making a childish joke about the CIC during war time. Aren't I presidential?" This is a slam dunk for Bush and I'm sure Snow and Rove will get it right.

I have complete confidence.

I have subsequently adduced that Bush MUST respond because Lurch named him in his whiny ass litany this afternoon. So any smackdown is a good smackdown at this point. This is the perfect Rovian storm to sweep up the swing voters.

Listening to Rush this p.m., Lurch's audio is so damning, his voice dripping with disdain, that it should be played on an endless tape loop, akin to when radio stations start a new channel up by playing "Wooly Bully" or some such for 24 hours straight.

In fact, I hope GOP candidates are rushing commercials incorporating Lurch's unforgivable slam on our nation's military into production as we speak.

The Corner

Statement sent out by the Bob Corker campaign, becoming one of the first to try to hang Kerry around the neck of Democratic candidates:

The Corker for Senate campaign today called on Washington Congressman Harold Ford to either defend or denounce U.S. Senator John Kerry’s comment denigrating U.S. troops considering the fact he served as a National Co-Chair for the Massachusetts liberal’s 2004 presidential campaign, and because Ford just took $900,000 from the Democrat campaign committees – courtesy of a transfer from Kerry and his colleague, Senator Ted Kennedy.

“Bob Corker rejects John Kerry’s outrageous comments belittling the intelligence of our troops in Iraq, and Harold Ford’s silence on this matter leaves one to conclude he’s siding with Kerry,” charged Todd Womack, the Corker campaign Communications Director. “As one of Kerry’s strongest supporters in 2004, and having just taken Kerry’s campaign money to prop up his faltering candidacy, he has an obligation to speak out.”

That was my thought - apologize to the troops for the behavior of the Democrats and then remind them that he, the Republican party and the rest of America stand squarely behind them.

"Are they dumping CNN too ?"

No, just FNC. Allegedly, the contract expires tonight and Fox wanted to charge the cable co. $1.00 per subscriber up from 25 cents.

We've been asking the cable co. how come if you have three hundred channels of nothing to see and you decide to dump Fox. Like another Freeper suggested, DirectTV and Dish Network are alternatives.

I can also always take refuge here.

Some DEM strategists are telling the Dems and Kerry to just sit down and STFU, as this furor is hurting Dems.

As Rush said a good while back, "Put a bag of excrement on the lawn and no matter how well you hide it, Dems will find it and step in it."

John Fwenchy Kerry, the gift that keeps on giving.

He also insulted the troops who gave their lives in this fight.

You are entirely correct my F.R.iend. I should have emphasized this, as well.
