But an exclusive poll indicates that Shelley Sekula-Gibbs may pull off a political upset and win her write-in campaign for Congress.

That would serve the ones who railroaded Tom Delay out of office right! I just wish her name was something simple like Brown, Jones, or Smith!

I still think that just enough folks will vote third party to let the Rats challenge and win.

Can't believe the Chronicle would sponsor a poll that would be favorable to a Republican.
To: rhinohunter
The gloomsters over at NR have been quoting people saying it would take an act of God to win this seat. However, frrom this article, it appears that all it is going to take is well-informed Republican voters.

I read she was trailing in polls (and in cash on hands). I hope Bush will help her. We'll see.

Voters in Sugarland didn't like the courts and Democrats telling them they couldn't send a replacement Republican to Congress. I'd love it if the Texas Rat/Judicial establishment was told to shove their deceit and chicanery where the sun don't shine!

So even the the Chonicle's biased polls shows that a dim bulb like Lampson could actually lose to a write in candidate. If this happens, wouldn't that just about destroy what's left of Lampson's political career?
To: LS
Even I, optimist that I am, was writing this seat off. IF we win this, it's a blowout.

Bush will help her to win, and the USA will be saved.

Can a write in candidate like her put (R) behind her name? In any case, W's visit will surely be helpful for her.

I would encourage every Freeper within 100 miles of Houston to drive over to the Sekula Gibbs Hq and help out with the campaign at least one day before November 7.
Tom Delay "cut and run" with his tail between his legs and got us in this mess. Now, it's gonna take a lot of work to keep a very, very liberal Dem, Nick Lampson, from taking this seat.

Yes! The Dems and the courts have pulled off every legal strategem and underhanded dirty trick to coerce Sugarland voters to seat a Democrat. Its backfired on them big time.
