COULTER SPOTTED FOX IN THE HENHOUSE

The Liberal “Doctrine Of Infallibility”: Redux

October 25, 2006

You have to hand it to Ann Coulter...when she depanties disingenuous liberal hypocrisy; nothing is left to the imagination.

In chapter five of her bestseller, Godless: The Church of Liberalism, Coulter lays out the liberal “Doctrine of Infallibility”.  As Coulter explains it, “Finally, the Democrats hit on an ingenious strategy: They would choose only messengers whom we’re (Conservatives) not allowed to reply to”.  Coulter continues that, “All the most prominent liberal spokesmen are people with ‘absolute moral authority’—Democrats with a dead husband, a dead child...a terminal illness....”

And so, after the death of famed liberal stem cell research expert Christopher Reeve, Spin City’s Michael J. Fox became the infallible Hollywood twit-turned-academician propagandist to lead the liberals’ embryonic stem cell disinformation campaign.  Like Reeve, Fox can lie but Conservatives can’t tell the truth because the liar is an infallible “victim”.

And along came Limbaugh.

Oh, that horrible Rush Limbaugh.  In Rush’s own words, he will be accused of prosecuting “a slashing attack by...an incentive, cold-hearted, cruel boob who has no sympathy for people who suffer from ravages of Parkinson's”, because he dared to suggest that Michael J. Fox may have given a fortissimo performance in the political ad that Fox made for Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill.

And Limbaugh is correct.  In their rush to judgment, the mainstream media has abandoned fact-checking and truth (as if there is anything new about that).

It doesn’t matter that Fox misrepresented and distorted the facts in his made-for-TV Democratic ads.  It doesn’t matter that Fox is a blatant liar.  All that matters to the liberals is that Limbaugh dared to suggest that Fox included performance distortion in his repertoire of lies on behalf of the Democrats use of disease as a campaign tool.

When Fox makes the claim that Missouri Senator Jim Talent “...even wanted to criminalize the science that gives us a chance for hope” Fox (and apparently the entire deaf, dumb and blind MSM) failed to note that what Senator Talent is opposed to is Missouri Amendment 2 which would legalize cloning.  As Limbaugh’s research points out, “Amendment 2 is misleading in that it appears to put stem cell research in the Constitution and to ban human cloning, but the fine print creates a right to do somatic cell nuclear transfer, cloning, which is the scientific term for cloning, the same method used to clone Dolly the sheep”.

But Fox is a victim, and even if his message is a lie, he can’t possible be called a liar.  His message is video pathos and the truth be damned.  He is “infallible” because he is a “victim” of Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s is a disease as is drug addiction.  The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) makes no bones about it when they categorically state that “The fact is, drug addiction is a brain disease.”  And as such, at least in the liberal world, an addict should have the same cloak of infallibility as a person with Parkinson’s.

Yet, while the condemnation of Limbaugh’s review of Fox’s propaganda performance were decisive and swift, much the opposite was true when Limbaugh admitted his disease.

Immediately following Limbaugh’s comments on the Michael J. Fox performance, John Rogers, Fox's political adviser, said "It's a shameless statement".  And Don Imus followed with, “"Rush Limbaugh, a fat, draft-dodging, drug addict...jacking his maid up, having her buy dope for him...That fat son of bitch, I mean, enough bad stuff can't happen to him."

The condemnation of Limbaugh from the MSM was swift, inaccurate and universal.

Ironically, when Limbaugh admitted to his disease, the liberals offered him up no cloak of infallibility.  Quite to the contrary, they lumped misery upon misery.

Mike Hudson, editor of the Niagara Falls Reporter, showed his compassion towards the diseased by writing that “I hope Rush gets over his addiction. Then I hope he dies from cancer of the balls.”

In this instance, the liberals granted that mercurial cloak of infallibility to Hudson and ginned up their gleeful mocking of Limbaugh’s disease.  Here is a brief part of a timeline sampling the MSM’s compassion for Limbaugh’s disease:

All lies.

As Ann Coulter points out in Godless, “Liberals prey on people at a time of extreme emotional vulnerability”.  The sad part is if the vulnerable are liberals they are cloaked in the “Doctrine of Infallibility”.  If the vulnerable happen to be Conservatives, the liberals “Cry ''havoc!'' and let loose the dogs of war, that this foul deed shall smell above the earth with carrion men, groaning for burial”.

When are people going to start taking blame for their own actions?

When the lying liberal party of Democrats are so defeated no-one will listen to them any longer.

That's it in a nutshell.

Great post and so true. Fox was interviewed today on a Sunday show, again with all the movement, to make it look like Rush and we conservatives are the meanspirited liars.

Michael is lying about stem cell research. Adult stem cells have proven effective in helping many diseases while fetal stem cells have not helped a single disease. Yet Fox is still promoting fetal stem cell research. His lies are misleading and harmful. They lead people to a place where there is little or NO hope, and away from a place where there is proven success, and lot's of hope. What a shameful DISGRACE he is!

Let's use the stem cells of aborted babies, which so far have proven useless, and keep abortion legal. Yeah, that's the ticket. /sarcasm

It's fine to point out the democrat use of victims, but to say we can't reply to them simply is not accurate. Conservatives call them liars and leftist kooks every day. Whether republican politicians have the cahoneys to do it is another story.

The one and only time drug addiction was not a disease was when Rush was afflicted.
Also, do you remember during the Clinton/Monica scandal how many in the MSM were using the ""He may be a victim of Sexual addiction"
Of course Foley was given no such benefit.
Lets face it, the DBM can justify the drowning of 5 children by waving the post par tum depression flag. But panties on the head of a terrorist at AbuGhrab.(spelling) Unconscionable!!!!! These people are so 2 faced its nauseating.

Here's an easy way.

Copy the story to Word - Notepad - or some word processing software and then print it out and pass it around to those who are too lazy to find out the truth.

One of my bosses went to see algore's movie - when he mentioned it, I began collecting stories of the opposite opinion - including many legitimate stories from legitimate scientists who totally disagree with the hype.

One such story says that our increased warmth is due to our closeness to the sun - because we're in a 30-year orbit brining us closer and closer to the sun. Within a few years that same orbit will take us farther and farther away from the sun and the earth will begin to cool - bringing on the "ice age" - just like they predicted in the 70's.

My boss has not mentioned "global warming" ever since then.

I think what Coulter did was use her celebrity to bring the issue to a larger audience; the MSM saw it as an opportunity to attack a conservative woman and not be seen as the closet misogynists so many liberal men are.

In other words, they stepped in it. Their attack on her publicized Ann's fiery yet common-sense observation that victims are not above criticism when they take stands. Limbaugh was doing that, too, but was easily dismissed as "That's just him." But his "attack" on Fox resonates with the public primed by Coulter's comments.

She's struck a chord that's resonating in the echo chamber, and the public is starting to hear the message, not just the messenger.

<< The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) makes no bones about it when they categorically state that "The fact is, drug addiction is a brain disease." >>

Rubbish.

Although Alcoholism (a physical allergy to alcohol with a clinical diagnosis and recognizable symptoms) is indisputably a disease, (Although, unless suffered by the statisticians who prefer to be known as "psychologists," neither of the brain nor of the mind) "addiction" (I prefer "habituation") to drugs -- even Mr Limbaugh's -- is the voluntary consequence of bad choices and worse (and usually criminal) conduct.

Just a short followup. On ABC's "This Week" aired on Sunday this is what came from the mouth of Hollywood-Twit-Turned-Academician Fox:

Stephanopoulos: In the ad now running in Missouri, Jim Caviezel speaks in Aramaic. It means, "You betray me with a kiss." And his position, his point, is that actually even though down in Missouri they say the initiative is against cloning, it's actually going to allow human cloning.

Fox: Well, I don't think that's true. You know, I campaigned for Claire McCaskill. And so I have to qualify it by saying I'm not qualified to speak on the page-to-page content of the initiative. Although, I am quite sure that I'll agree with it in spirit, I don't know, I— On full disclosure, I haven't read it, and that's why I didn't put myself up for it distinctly.

Enough said.

It seems that the MSM wants to ignore this fact. Try a Google news search and find that nobody is covering this "oversight". Thank God for Drudge.

Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill is not the only Democrat Michael J. Fox is shilling for. I recently watched a similar campaign ad by Mr. Fox for Wisconsin Democrat Governor Jim Doyle.

I must say it was a powerful and compelling performance; Mr. Fox swiveling back & forth in a stationary chair, doing the head bob & weave, his speech filled with oddly timed pauses. The pity, empathy and sympathy the 30 second spot engenders is remarkable.

As usual, the issue of embryonic stem cell research is clouded to the point that a casual observer would think the Governor's opponent is against all medical research period and drowns kittens just to get a thrill.

Mr. Fox, I know what it's like to suffer too. Unlike you however, I refuse to parlay my suffering into an effort to get a corrupt politician elected. Like the heathens who loudly pray in public to be seen by men, verily sir, you have your reward.
