A month or so ago I would have said that Neal Gabler and I inhabit different planets, but his apparent home of has recently been demoted from planetary status. While I'm off searching for another metaphor, let me pass along the latest comment from the decidedly liberal denizen of Fox News Watch that made me reflect on just how distinct a world view we have. In the course of discussing on this evening's show the controversy that erupted this past week over Rush Limbaugh's comments about Michael Fox, Gabler had this to say:
"The media has tread lightly on Rush and his criticism of [Michael J.] Fox. To my mind, Rush is a cancer to America and hatemongers are marginalized, and why the media does not marginalize Rush, I don't know."
I strongly disagree with Gabler when it comes to his characterization of Rush, whom I consider a great American voice. We'll grant that Neal's entitled to his opinion. But he certainly is not entitled to his facts. To claim that the media has "tread lightly" in criticizing Rush's criticism of Fox is, simply, to be detached from reality.
Look no further than NewBusters for proof:
If there was one man in America whom the MSM vilified this past week, it was Rush. Why would Gabler compromise his reputation by suggesting the contrary?
Huh??
In lefty-speak, Marginalize = Hound out of a job, and blacklist forever.
That's why the Left hates Rush most of all: He is beyond their ability to destroy.
my TV is usually stuck on Fox News 24/7 unless something special is coming on.. I use it as background noise as i surf the web.
I don't know the reputation that Gabler has I guess. I thought it was bad because I stopped watching Newswatch about 4 months after he arrived. He only spouted looney left garbage those months I watched.
GUFFAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give him a break on the beard.
That's three years' growth for that creep.
Lefties can dish it out, but they are real whimps when anyone stands up to them. The party of hate. Sickening. And scary.
20 million listeners... who else can say that? ;)
Gabler is a typical leftist for whom "Truth" has no rational meaning. He views his job as to say whatever will create in the minds of his viewers whatever he wants them to think is the truth. Lying is noble when it promotes the liberal view. because there really can be no lies when there really is no objective Truth.
yea, you got it sounding better... I took some time looking up some info about Uranus before i posted... (im a nerd like that...)
If you asked Gabler what he thought of Rush and then 30 minutes later asked him what he thought of Kim il Jong, the venom directed at Limbaugh would be an order of magnitude higher than that directed at the Korean dictator.
The left is truly amazed that a guy like Rush doesn't give a darn about what their spin is. He throws it back in their face and makes them eat it.
The Fox add was yanked in Missouri. Why? Because the Rush take on the issue was spot on and they couldn't deny it.
Fox had admitting in his book that he went off his meds before testifying before Congress. Score one for Rush. The bill before the voters of Missouri wasn't as much about embyonic stem cells as much as it was about sneaking a legalization of cloning in. And once this was known, the bill took a turn toward oblivion.
Rush was right on all counts. They know it. And they're beside themselves with anger and grief.
Too bad.
I don't like the sound of that. Where would you look up private information like that?
Gabler is the pimple on the media's butt.
I don't watch 'em because they don't know how to make their observations outside of the obvious spin. I just happened to have the TV on and saw this segment. WHY didn't they bring up the fact that Fox seems to have admitted that he's played around with his dosage to put on a show? WHY didn't they bother to put that out?
I think I know the answer: They don't want to get, "The Limbaugh Label," in even trying to justify the remarks. It's safer for them to join in the attacks on Rush.
you know... hacker and backdoor... LOL /justkidding :P
A person is best known for who he is by looking at who his enemies are. Like Rush, I take pride in being known by who my enemies are.
Hey neal, we really dont care what you think. Your opinions are not grounded in facts but hey thats nothing new for your types now is it?
