I hope it was worth it, Indymedia, whatever the hell good you guys think you were doing down there in wild-ass Mexico.

"why the hell did they rip his friggin pants off?"
Loss of bowels/bladder control. Perhaps to clean him up. Fecal matter and urine don't do well with open wounds. If you ever see photos of Chinese executions, they usually tie up the pants legs with string probably to keep the dead bagged up as much as possible (with exception to the large caliber bullet effects on the head and face).
Don't mean to gross you out. Dying is often embarrassing and sometimes messy. Violent death generally is messy.
This is the effect of sin upon mankind.

Warning! Cameras look like guns.
Maybe the shooter and the camera man had similar politics...but the shooter isn't a trained cop who'll hold his fire before dropping a target with a threatening appearance.
Just a possible explanation.
The other explanation may be the "revolution" that hasn't ended in Mexico for nearly a century nursed by the ancient beast of athiest/communist/socialist anti-Christian movement sucking on the teet of the pagan snake worshipping pre-Christian satanic cannibal cult.

This political tactic has already been used.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturmabteilung
The pre-Nazi SA got into massive drinking brawls which halted German society. Then the SA put on a uniform to form militias to stop the fighting they themselves created. Bringing false "order" back into society, they gave the appearance of legitimacy to gain political popularity.
Mexico is experiencing the same thing.

Actually; it appears that he was killed by vigilantes -- I am very hesitant to use the term "paramilitaries" in the way IndyMedia.org and the rest of the MSM do Actually they invariably use the term "Right Wing Death Squads" for right wing -- in fact any non-lefist -- paramilitary (or lesser organized group). Any such group on the left will (in this case with very, very occasional exceptions) be referred to at worst in neutral descriptive terms, and often enough positively, e.g. as "freedom fighters".

Remember that APPO began seizing and closing businesses throughout Oaxaca City today. That kind of assault is directed against private property and the livelihoods of hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals. In the complete absence of police protection, it should not be surprising that they pick up guns and go after those who are taking everything they have away from them. Protecting property from leftist thugs? Yeah, that'll definitely make you a "Right Wing Death Squad" per the MSM.

That is terrible, but I'm not surprised-it seems the communist wannabes won't be happy until they foment violence in the streets. I'm just glad my family and friends who work and live over there are not in Oaxaca.

Thank you for posting. This is getting absolutely no coverage here in the US.
Who are the guys in the red shirts? Or was it just a random fashion choice?
Also, where's the army and the government of Mexico?

If you look at the photos this guy is pretty clean below the waist. More likely his pants were stripped to rob him and check for a money wad stuffed in his pants.
To: SaltyJoe
One of these photos is actually taken in the United States. Which one?

Holy Crap.
I'm still digesting this news. I've heard about a lot of foreigners - student types - going down to witness and "be part of history".

Forgive me ignorance, but where is Fox in all this? Shouldn't he have this situation under control by now?

Ooops, there's an eye witness to the pants theft: I have about as much sympathy for Brad Will as I did for Rachael Corrie. Which is to say, none. His role there was to create propaganda for the terrorist left in Mexico. He got about what he deserved.
