This is a followup to
a thread I posted earlier today (
please pay attention to my opening "Comments" for full details) on the complete takeover of Oaxaca by APPO leftists today, after the Oaxacan section of the teacher's union voted to end their strike and reopen the schools. I predicted earlier this week that if this happened then APPO would react violently and their seizure of the town, blockading of the roads, and the forced closure of businesses has evidently provoked a reaction in the absence of any real police power.
It is just a guess on my part, but I believe what we are seeing in these pictures are vigilante groups organized by local businessmen and PRI leaders who are responding to APPO's takeover with guns. It's anarchy, pure and simple.

If I didn't see the headline on this thread before seeing the photos, I would have thought the Detroit Tigers had just won the World Series or something.

You are absolutely right. These scenes will be repeated in Arizona, Texas and California in BUT a few years, IF the DemoRats have their way on illegal aliens in this country. There are 20 million of them, and they are preparing to forge their own socialist nation inside of the USA.
Mexican illegals already have connections with Mexican socialists, and when their politicians loose their election bids in California, Arizona, and Texas, they will take up the gun.
Its only a matter of time.

Was this pic of the attacker killing his victim?
I was in a gun fight and that is exactly what I remember. You can hardly tell there is a gun in his hand except for the stance he takes and just a shadow of something in his hand.

Hi All- Note how the onlookers are neatly staged behind the lone shooter. That is very peculiar and makes it appear very planned. If these invaders simply want to come here for "opportunity" one has to wonder where they had the discretionary money to purchase firearms.

I have been given details of the cameraman victim. His name was Brad Will and he worked for IndyMedia.org. I want to caution everyone to be very careful what you post in response to this, because IndyMedia.org is in no way an independent non-biased news organization. They prominently display the
Otra Campaña news (that's the
Zapatista program), they stream APPO's news broadcasts, they are linked to Narconews.com (the idolizers of Hugo Chavez), Mexico City's
La Jornada newspaper (idolizers of Lopez Obrador) and more. Remember that we have no specifics about Brad Will's death, but IndyMedia.org does make clear that he was at the barricades with APPO.

Hi StJacques- So it currently appears that liberal IndyMedia photographer Brad Will was possibly killed by "friendly fire" from hyped-up APPO gunmen? It must be surreal down there.

We know that much. I wonder if Indymedia will get a clue.

"So it currently appears that liberal IndyMedia photographer Brad Will was possibly killed by "friendly fire" from hyped-up APPO gunmen?"
Actually; it appears that he was killed by vigilantes -- I am very hesitant to use the term "paramilitaries" in the way IndyMedia.org and the rest of the MSM do because it leaves us with the assumption that there is something legitimate about APPO -- organized to combat APPO's complete takeover of Oaxaca City today (see the link I put up in my "Comments" at the beginning of this thread to the earlier thread today for more on that).
Remember that APPO began seizing and closing businesses throughout Oaxaca City today. That kind of assault is directed against private property and the livelihoods of hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals. In the complete absence of police protection, it should not be surprising that they pick up guns and go after those who are taking everything they have away from them.
I do not condone violence, but if you and yours come to take everything I have then you should not be surprised if I pick up a gun to stop you.
