I saw that last night. Very interesting. They seem to be dumping all the anti-GOP nightly TV programming as well. Could it be someone on high at GE has laid down the law?

I was driving through Hartford today catching the end of Rush's show.
I was listening to 1080 WTIC.
I'm not usually in their listening area and the few times I was I noticed that, although they carry Rush, the local programming is very left.

When Rush's show was over someone from the station, I think it might have been the guy who is running the local 3pm - 6pm show said this (paraphrase from memory):

"Goodbye Rush, Goodbye Rush. Rush has to go push Stephen Hawking out of his wheelchair now. He's busy, busy, busy."

The guy said it with that smarmy condescending leftist tone that we are all so familiar with.
I have been battling traffic since to get home and post this

If it was the local guy he is doing a Lamont Lovefest show with Ex CT Giv Lowell Weiker until 5:30 pm and I'm assuming taking open lines after that until 6pm.

WTIC has a website for those of you who would like to register a complaint with the management.


I will be emailing Rush to inform him that one of his affiliate stations is openly hostile in case he has policies for such events.

His name is Joe Negron, and he is very good. He has been a State Rep for 6 years and is term limited. He ran for Attorney General of Florida but decided not to have Bill Mcollum go through a Primary and he dropped out.He is a very down to earth,no big ego Attorney. He is Young,nice looking,Tall and Lanky, has a wife and three kids (two boys and A girl)and even though he is a cuban American, he is for Border Security and for fixing the illegal immigrant problem. He says it is not anti Immigrant to want the border secured and have legal immigration.He is much more conservative than Mark Foley was. They got into it the other day locally at the Real Estate Board Meeting. Mahoney has radio ads running that say he is a resident of this County and he is not, he lives in a Gated Palm Beach County Home,and owns so called Property in a swampy area on the edge of the Glades.His ads would gag you talking about Faith,being an American and honor,etc when he screwed over his Clients,and ran the Company into the ground to the tune of $1.2 Million,while he was collecting Pay and benefits of $400,000. He also advised his Clients to buy stock in Companies he was involved in. His stock trade line is Faith,family and Financial Responsibility,What a laugh. He even tries to quote Solomon, idiotic ads.

Actually dear lady, I do know how the troops feel.

I tell you quite frankly to the troops the bulk of this nonsense coming out of DC is a matter of total indifference. Or it matters to them in a vague kind of formless way. Right now they got a lot of things a LOT more important. Mail call, a shower, the next day's patrol, coming home. Stay in, get out, how are the wife and kids etc etc etc.

Frankly they have neither the time nor the energy to get absorbed in the minutia of the DC Noise Machine's workings.

That is OUR job. Frankly, I admire your position. I too prefer the cleanness of a straight up fight on this issue to the continual DC spinning and posturing.

However, I have that luxury. I can hold any position I like cause no one but me cares what I think. A President actually has to take actions, or not, that decide if the mission turns out successful. I don't envy him the job.

Anyway, I will get out of your hair, so you can get ready for tomorrow's live radio show.
