COLUMBUS - A federal judge on Thursday suspended Ohio's new voter identification law for early voting already under way, saying the state's 88 counties are inconsistently applying the rule for people filling out absentee ballots.
U.S. District Judge Algenon Marbley granted the temporary restraining order on behalf of labor and poverty groups who filed a lawsuit earlier in the week.
The ruling is in effect until Wednesday, when the judge will consider arguments from the same groups seeking to block application of the identification law for voters who go to the polls on Election Day.

IMO Until there is some serious jail time handed down for "voter fraud" this will continue.
Folks, do you see now? They are DESPERATE to do ANYTHING to boost the Dem vote, because they KNOW the Dems cannot turn out their base on election day. There is no enthusiasm for the Dem candidates, regardless of what the bogus polls say.
OOHH! I see now.
I still think a database wouldn't hurt. I'd like to be able to go to the county site and make sure my votes were registered there the same way that they were cast. We require an ID to vote, but I'd still want to make sure that some cheating librat didn't hack into the system and change anything.
Since when do the counties have to do things all the same? Elections are generally handled by the county authorities with no particular regard for, or alignment to, all other counties. If now they must do everything the same, then they'd better have the same equipment as well! And make sure all the poll workers get the same coffee and doughnuts too.
Where does it say in the law that election procedures and standards are under state rather than county authority?
In Miami Florida there were repots ACORN was doing voter registration drives and then throwoing out those which were republican. Nobody would have known BUT FOR some hones workers who brought boxes of republican absentee requests to reporters who did cover the story.
It was denied and then droped. no prosecutions.
We need to do some series research on this group of criminals.
I think you've got most republicans mobilized and are still coming up short. Those Blackwell, DeWine and others need to appeal to the independents in order to get elected. They are the sway vote this election. I think DeWine is trying, but he's been so pummelled by the right for his gang of 14 activities and the talk show host that filled the airwaves with it so much so they know DeWine did something wrong, even if they can't answer what it is.
Blackwell has his base mobilized. As a matter of fact, they are tugging at their chains so much they are ready to break. What he hasn't done is find a comfort zone with the independents.
I only saw a portion of one debate and it was the last one. While Blackwell had the right answers, he looked very uncomfortable. I've never seen him like that. Usually, he has the look of poise, charm and confidence. He looked like dinner wasn't setting well and was trying to hold in gas. I know most people don't watch these except for political junkies, but even though his answers were great, he looked terribly uncomfortable. Again, unusual for him. The problem was for him is the masses will only see outtakes that made it to the news.
How else can millions of legal and illegal alien VOTERS, VOTE?...
Will they vote republican?... If you think that you're a political moron..
ACORN the communist group.
Fraud, Inc. (with the convictions to prove it)
If the Democrats can't cheat, they can't win.
My memory on this is fuzzy (I wasn't there), but I seem to recall hearing that you used to get some sort of receipt, and Tammany Hall (maybe) would pay off the bribes when the proper receipt was turned in to show a "correct" vote.
You need ID to cash a check, drive a car, board a plane, buy booze, but not to vote.
They'll never get the chance. The case is in federal court.
This whole voter ID issue will only be solved by Congress
Easy. Someone offers $$$ for you to vote a certain way. You vote, grab the receipt, produce it & collect the cash.
The constitution provides that Congress shall have the power to withdraw jurisdiction from federal courts as it sees fit. If the federal courts insist in acting as a VOTER FRAUD PROTECTION RACKET in such last minute decisions that leave the states with little or no time to appeal prior to pending elections, then Congress should act to say that, as to any law enacted more than 150 days prior to an election, the federal courts will have no jurisdiction to interfere within the 75 days immediately preceding the next general election after such a decision. If there is a practical way to stop state court interference as well, that should be included.

Here's my test on how one can know if he's one of the DemocRAT's "useful idiots", or a criminal mentality RAT himself:
[1] You think the Republican Party is "wrong" when they insist on knowing who is voting so as to stop as much voter fraud as possible.
[2] You think that the DemocRAT Party is "right" when they don't want people to have to prove who they are when they vote.
[3] You believe DemocRATS when they tell you that if the Republican Party wins it "stole the election". (In other words, when you add 1 + 1, you refuse to believe the answer is 2)
[4] You don't know who H.L. Mencken is, let alone that he said, "Nobody ever went broke betting on the stupidity of the American people". (More here): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1726919/posts?page=9#9
I hate liberal judges.
that would be "illegal" because it discriminates against people who can not read, remember or type.
We do not WANT to block illegal aliens.
They are the salvation of the Social Security system.
As Americans age and retire, there are fewer and fewer young workers with paychecks to raid for SS taxes. How to stave off disaster? Let the Mexican come, by the millions, and let 'em work any jobs they want. There won't be enough natural-born Americans to fill 'em anyway. Abortion and driven women pursuing careers have ensured that the birthrate has not kept pace with the death rate of US citizens for a couple of decades now. If it were not for the Mexicans flowing in, we'd be facing a demographic catastrophe. Viva Mexico!
