Fox Responds To Limbaugh's Accusations
(CBS News) Responding to criticism by conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh, actor Michael J. Fox defended his appearance in a political campaign ad, saying he wasn't acting or off his medication.
In fact, at the time he was over-medicated for his Parkinson's disease, Fox said in an exclusive interview with CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric.
"The irony is that I was too medicated, I was dyskinesic," Fox told Couric. "Because the thing about, the thing about being symptomatic is that it's not comfortable. No one wants to be symptomatic; it's like being hit with a hammer."
His body visibly wracked by tremors, Fox appears in a political ad that prompted Limbaugh to speculate that Fox was "either off his medication or acting."
Fox told Couric, "At this point now, if I didn't take medication I wouldn't be able to speak."
He said that he appeared in the ad only to advance his cause, and that, "Disease is a non-partisan problem that requires a bi-partisan solution."
"You know what, I don't really care about politics," Fox said. "We want to appeal to voters to elect the people that are going to give us a margin, so we can't be vetoed again."

Damn...never even heard of this stuff until the late 90's.
I was a freshman in college. I remember some of my dorm colleagues using it. This was in Michigan.
Reminds me of Cassius Clay, who acquired his Parkinson symptoms as a result of too much rope-a-dope. Is Clay a true PD patient? I vote "No."
Yeah, but we have to presume that at least 'some' of the previous Airhead America fans might be tuning in to Katie now. That would probably make it around 50 or so. A rather intimidating loss to the GOP, no doubt...(ggg!).

Rush Limbaugh On the Offensive Against Ad With Michael J. Fox
Fox's scenes in "Boston Legal" had to be taped around his illness, as he worked to control the tremors associated with Parkinson's for limited periods of time.
So what? What's your point? That if he got Parkinson's from using Ecstasy he doesn't deserve anything?
Don't know if he was acting or not but when you shoot a commercial you have all the takes in the world to get it right. Fox did look a wreck in the commercial, does he always look that way?
Thank you
What did the whiney little ba$tard say about all the LIES in the ad?
<< (Ms) Ann Coulter was right. >>
Was, still is and likely always will be!
Have you ever used ecstacy?? just curious ;^0
He also demands that we prove we care about sick people by our sanctioning the extermination of the most vulnerable people.
Fox is a fool. Anyone who lets themselves become a useful idiot for the Communist left is a fool. Fox is a fool.
Luigi:
Go back and read your posts on this thread. What do you suppose an undecided voter would make of them?
I recall that years ago I read an article about Michael J Fox having this disease, and the odd coincidence that 3 other of his young actor friends also having this. The article was about whether a virus is involved in Parkinson's. I could be wrong, but I don't see it mentioned here.
So the question obviously is.....if he was ON his meds during the ad (or as he stated, was overmedicated, instead of being off the meds), how come he was spazing out and moving around 'as if' he was OFF the meds? He was able to speak clearly. He was able to communicate succinctly. And yet, he supposedly was, from all appearances, anything 'but' under control.
Methinks Rush was exactly right/correct about this...(as usual).

How do you know when Fox is lying ?
His lips are moving.
