True rape is an act of hatred, rage, violence and control....the greater the pain and fear of the victim, the greater the arrousal of the rapist.

However, you are discounting a significant percentage of rapes that are of the date rape variety. Either through alcohol, GHB or some other date rape drug, the perp wants the victim as out of it as possible. These perps would prefer that victim have no memory of the rape.

This type of rape is all about lust and to a lesser extent control and power.

As a man, I do not feel the need to rape a women just because she is in a mini-skirt. There is no excuse to not have enough self control to not rape someone just because they are showing a little skin, and just because a woman wears a mini-skirt or a low cut blouse does not mean she deserves to be raped.

There's an excellent book called The Closed Circle which analyzes these kinds of issues in great detail, and I recall that the author took some care in describing this Mommy conflict and the aloofness of Daddy and of course the intermixture of sexual and social humiliation, which in the end produces entire societies of some very screwed up Muslim males.
