The problem with the ad is that it's very very good. It's truthful in content and has nothing racist in it.

If indeed such an advertisement was something that the public would have fits about what about this advertisement where the thing people got agitated about was not the race of the people but the fact the woman dropped her towel.

I don't care what color someones skin is and the RNC Ford ad does not either. It's nothing about race.

I guess one interesting thing that people might find out from this thread is how many white Freepers have black friends or dated or married someone who happened to be black. You can count this Texas boy (me) in that list. Growing up we had blacks kids in our house and I dated black females and used to be the only white guy that partied with the "hip" black kids in school. I'd go to black clubs with my friends and be the only white guy there. I never had a problem. Maybe because I was a dancing fool. I have always had black friends and happened to visit with one today. I don't think of him as "black" though, he's my friend.

Harld Ford's problem is not the color of his skin, it's Harold Ford. Anyone that does not want Ford elected because of his skin color is an a$$.

Second of all, Harold Ford J.R. is not black he is mulatto. I don't see how the ad alleges anything racist at all, at best it alleges that Harold Ford J.R. has ties to playmates. It would take an awfully racist mind to even come up with the ideas the left is currently concocting. And of course like every election year, the Republicans run a edgy though truthful ad, the Dem's caught red handed respond by not denying the charges but calling us all blanket racists, we run for cover because we are so afraid of the R word and they end up looking like victims (there favorite position).
