On last night's Hardball, Chris Matthews hinted at what he had in mind regarding the ad the RNC has been running in Tennessee about Dem senatorial candidate Harold Ford, Jr. Claimed Chris:
"It has ethnic overtones, sexual overtones."
Tonight, Matthews took an ugly, explicit leap down into the atavistic mud. Interviewing Sen. Dick Durbin [D-IL] - who was relatively reserved in his comments - Matthews began by asserting that the RNC's goal in running the ad was to "get their point across to perhaps angry white voters, or people who had a problem with a black senator already."
Later, Matthews embraced the absolutely worst stereotypes of a racist South, claiming the RNC was:
"playing on white sensitivities about losing white women to black guys. It was so obvious what they were doing there."
I'd encourage readers to view the ad at Michelle Malkin's site here, and judge for themselves. In my opinion, if anyone is doing his worst to stir racial animosity, it is Chris Matthews.
Aside: earlier in the show, Matthews argued that the Iraq war was intrinsically misconceived since "anybody who studied history for two weeks would have known that Third World countries don't like being invaded by white people from the west." Looks like Matthews has really got it in for The Man!

Weird. Here I would have thought that, if anything, the ad would tick off black women who can't stand to lose black men to white women. Oh well.... what do I know?
Now I know that the Dems have seen accurate polling information. They've lost the 2006 elections. They know it. They are bitter and angry. Now they are just striking out in blind hatred.

As a white man who once dated a black woman for a year, I can say that black men are the ones who should be worried. We Italians know how to treat a woman.
I sense some projection going on here. In my experience it's the "black power" types and white libs who have a problem with interracial dating. I don't know why the black folks would care, but here's my theory on the white libs: If everybody is of mixed racial background in the future, that's one less way The Man will have of dividing us into little groups of victims and malcontents.
These adds are media driven. Who makes the most money from running the ads? The MSM. That is why they want a horse race.
