On last night's Hardball, Chris Matthews hinted at what he had in mind regarding the ad the RNC has been running in Tennessee about Dem senatorial candidate Harold Ford, Jr. Claimed Chris:
"It has ethnic overtones, sexual overtones."
Tonight, Matthews took an ugly, explicit leap down into the atavistic mud. Interviewing Sen. Dick Durbin [D-IL] - who was relatively reserved in his comments - Matthews began by asserting that the RNC's goal in running the ad was to "get their point across to perhaps angry white voters, or people who had a problem with a black senator already."
Later, Matthews embraced the absolutely worst stereotypes of a racist South, claiming the RNC was:
"playing on white sensitivities about losing white women to black guys. It was so obvious what they were doing there."
I'd encourage readers to view the ad at Michelle Malkin's site here, and judge for themselves. In my opinion, if anyone is doing his worst to stir racial animosity, it is Chris Matthews.
Aside: earlier in the show, Matthews argued that the Iraq war was intrinsically misconceived since "anybody who studied history for two weeks would have known that Third World countries don't like being invaded by white people from the west." Looks like Matthews has really got it in for The Man!
This is Baloney. Junior has dated white women. One was a second year college student who wrote sex columns. Our local rag didn't give her skin color, but a simple google search and you turn her up.
Exactly right. Had the woman been black, the leftist bigots would have sneered, "Isn't that just like the repuglicans? 'Don't want to see no darkies hittin' on de white wimmin.'"
Anybody else think Chrissy has "problems" with interracial couples?
No, just white men from Tennessee.
Since when are photos of penises permitted on FR?
Is that a euphemism for something?
As therapy, Chrissy should be locked in a room and forced to watch the movie "Hairspray" a hundred times.
The point is the race hustle is being used to get votes for Ford. He should lose.
>No, just white men from Tennessee.<
The funniest thing about this is the lib protest of this commercial pulls out all the racial stereotyping of white southerners. It was funny watching Chrissy and Barnacle make their snide remarks about southerners being racist.Barnacle lives in the most racist city in the nation.I wonder how many "Wops" and Jews are members of his Irish country club.
The Libs playing the race card was good for at least 4% points for Corker.
Nowadays, with the president's brother a miscegenationist, and the right's favorite black man, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, married to a white woman, it's hard to find anybody who will publicly attack interracial romance, beyond the fringes of white supremacist Web sites -- and, of course, the popular black media. Take November's Essence magazine , a glossy geared to black women, which featured a major spread headlined "Bring me home a black girl" by contributing editor Audrey Edwards, laying out how and why she's indoctrinated her stepson not to date white women.
Edwards, a respected, veteran journalist, is unapologetic about her racially biased home training. "For Black women, one of the inequities on the current playing field has been the rate at which Black men are marrying outside their race," she says. Too many black men think they're marrying up socially by marrying out racially, Edwards believes, so it's up to black moms to convince their sons by any means necessary -- including guilt, shame and ostracism -- not to date white.
There is a reason Jr didn't want to initially own up to this. It will cost him votes in the Hood.
The idea that Mr. Ford is taking up with white women isn't about to make anyone vote against him, but the idea that once again the 'rats are pulling out the contemptuous race card as soon as they come up against an issue that causes them embarrassment is by now probably making plenty of voters disgusted and ready to vote for his opponent.....
"I'm a black woman...I didn't believe it was racist."
I agree with you. Now consider this. How would you feel if they had selected a pretty black woman to say the same thing? I think you might have cringed a little ( I know I would). Could we agree an argument would have been made that black women were being shown as trashy...therefore, it's racist? You and I both must agree the notion of racism is moot in this particular instance. It was only a 5-second portion of a larger ad listing a good number of reasons for rejecting Ford's bid. When someone posts a racist ad, I will join with you 100% to oppose it, but that's not what we see here.
That's because you're not racist.
Speak for yourself, creep. I've never had such a problem.
What the hell's wrong with you?
The photo came from this article I can't get it to show up maybe some one has more computer talent than I do.

IMO, perfectly explainable and understandable...but only Bill Cosby can speak about it.
