The Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University has been renamed after Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donated $20 million to its projects. And while that may be just the tail, the dog appears to be moving away from its historic Catholic and Jesuit teaching philosophy too.
The Center's leaders say it now will be used to put on workshops regarding Islam, fostering exchanges with the Muslim world, addressing U.S. policy towards the Muslim world, working on the relationship of Islam and Arab culture, addressing Muslim citizenship and civil liberties, and developing exchange programs for students from the Muslim world.

Actually, it will only partly be over religion. There will be extensive efforts to excuse the elements of shari'a law that creep in, bit by bit, as "freedom of religion", but we all know that it seeks to replace our secular laws as well.
We've already addressed a similar situation, and these words are not dead to us... yet:

I think that at this time, we're still at the stage shown above in bold text, though the "long train of abuses" has arguably begun.
The whole thing hinges on how successful our opponents are in establishing Islamic law and having us become accustomed to it. Thirty years ago, I would've laughed at the very thought. Now I can see that it could actually happen, with all the ugly repercussions discussed above.

I actually saw a cartoon on the DirectTV BBC channel last night depicting Muslims stoning a Burkah-clad woman to death. I was amazed that this was on the BBC.

I agree that Georgetown is certainly not the conservative Catholic institution that it was when my parents attended in the early 60's; however, I question why it should have ever has a curriculum based on the heretical and unscriptural theory of sola scriptura. A Catholic university shouldn't be teaching Protestantism any more that it should be teaching Islam (obviously, both should be taught in history classes).
I wonder if those who believe in sola scriptura also believe that there were no Christians for the 300 years before the bible as we know it was put together? Better yet, how about the fact that the bible was only readily available to the extremely wealthy or religious clergy until 1454 (prior to the use of the printing press in Europe, the bible was copied by hand and owning one took three years worth of wages). I guess all the people who couldn't afford one or were illiterate weren't true Christians either.
At least us fake Christians will have A LOT of company in hell. :)
Georgetown was once an excellent Christian university ... as were, for example, some of the Ivy Leagues ... how far the mighty have fallen!
