Hillary could win W House: Cheney
Herald Sun ^ | 25 October 2006

Posted on 10/24/2006 5:56:45 PM PDT by Aussie Dasher

US Vice President Dick Cheney said Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton could win the White House in 2008 and that a potential Democratic opponent, Senator Barack Obama, is too inexperienced.

Mrs Clinton, a New York Democrat who is running for re-election, is considered a likely contender for the White House in 2008.

Mr Obama, serving his first term as a US senator from Illinois, has been touted recently as a possible candidate, something he said he would consider.

"I think Hillary Clinton is a formidable candidate," Mr Cheney said in an interview with Fox News' Hannity and Colmes due to air today.

"I think she could win. I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for president."

Mr Cheney reiterated that he had no intention of running for president.

"I'm not coy about it. I made my decision a long time ago, and it's firm, final, fixed, irrevocable."

Politically-active dead voters favor Democrats 98% to 2%, according to the latest polls. Among ACORN registrants, the advantage Democrats enjoy jumps even higher.

Think of the money our government could save if Giuliani won in 2008. He'd be President and First Lady at the same time!

If I were a prominent Republican, I would publicly talk up Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, too.

Neither one of them, if nominated by the Democrats, stands a chance of winning the presidency.

I say that as well yet I keep getting Freepers telling me "Oh there is no way she can win"... Yeah, I thought that too when she running for Senator in 2000. Then she pulled out a rabbit from her hat in the form of pardons from her personal sexual predator. Never underestimate evil.... If it puts the lives of millions in danger, the Clintons will do it. Before she set her fat arse for one second on that freggin` "listening tour", her husband had already set loose the FALN upon New York.

Condi is D.O.A. People on the street I talk to don't trust her. She hasn't "made her bones" as a conservative. I agree with them, that is, I don't trust her either.

Hillary could win in '08 if all the Republicans stayed home...

As soon as this election is over the MSM will begin a two-year marathon of Hillary-fest in preparation for her run. In two years time Hillary will be reinvented as the saviour of the world, the universe, etc. There will be many mini-series about her saving baby seals, saving whole counties, and the like. It'll be sickening.

Geesh, she's just another stalinist lowlife power hungry control freaking old dame in a petticoat, er ah, pantsuit, with a major case of self absorbed self aggrandized delusions.

The only way she could win is to resort to vice, avarice, and treachery along with an enormous amount of outrageous lying, sliming, a lots of ash trays thrown to whomever questions her about anything.

But could Cheney? Suppose Bush taps him.

We tend to forget that Presidents are administrators. Govenors are administrators. Vice Presidents are administraotrs. Army Generals are administrators. senators are not administrators. They are legislators.

The last sitting Senator to win the White House was Kennedy, if I'm not mistaken. And Hillary wouldn't make a pimple on Kennedy's a$$.

Check out my tagline for a conservative GOP candidate that would carry the Republican base in '08. His camera appeal is far and above way better than Clinton.

Guilliani loses conservatives. He can't scarf enough votes from the middle to win. His candidacy will only revive the conservative 3rd parties and then yet another Clinton will take the WH with only 4x% of the vote. Guilliani had his chance to take on Hillary in NY. I believe that is the only place he could ever win over her anyway.

McCain is also another no go and I can't even remember seeing a positive comment made about him here on FR though I'll admit I'm not an everyday visitor.

Hmmmmm well wonder what it is that causes the President and the Vice President to use that word 'formidable' about Hillry?

That word means something specific, and I wish these two would be more specific.

That's the plan, Stan. You sound as though you expect anything but SOP from their ilk?

Immigration is now, and will be, a potent issue--a consensus issue that cuts across party lines.

The candidate will have had to be on the right side of the issue from the getgo.

So how is Hitlery going to explain her husband's craven pardons of Puerto Rican FALN terrorists so she could harvest the NY Latin vote for her first Senate effort?
