Cheney on Obama: "Attractive Guy"

ABC News' David Chalian reports: In a radio interview with Sean Hannity, Vice President Cheney was asked what he thought of Sen. Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming president.
"I think she could win. I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for President," said Cheney.
As for that other potential Democratic '08er who has been all the buzz this week, Cheney said, "Barack Obama, attractive guy. Don't know him well, met him a few times. I think at this stage, my initial take on him was he's been two years as a senator. I think people might want a little more experience than that, given the nature of the times we live in. But certainly, he's an attractive candidate. If he decides to run, he'll be a player on the Democratic side."
Vice President Cheney's decision not to seek the presidency (which he unequivocally restated today), is making for the most wide open presidential contest in decades. 2008 will mark the first time since 1928 that neither a sitting president or vice president did not seek the presidential nomination.

If the Dems offer the first black Presidential candidate, we will NEVER escape the race issue. He will become untouchable because every criticism will be defended with a race card.

Cheney basically just said, "Bless his heart". And most of you know what THAT means. Yes, I do! My dear mother, God rest her soul, always said that you can say anything about anybody as long as you add "Bless his/her heart". :-)

Birth name: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., If he does run, his opponent(s) should refer to him by his entire name at all times. No way a 'Hussein' gets any votes other than from the moonbattiest.

Ya think he can pry Osama from Waziristan with an offer of a senate seat (no election, just give it to him). I am sure Osama's speeches would be a lot more fun than the Dummie from Delaware (Biden).

I've never thought Obama was particularly attractive in any way, either in his appearance or his speech - and certainly not in his thought, which he never reveals. The master of dissimulation (like his "mentoress," Hillary), he is now trying to make himself into something he seems to believe looks like a mainstream Prot, somewhat tax-conscious and not ravingly opposed to the traditional family, old-line Dem pol.
I'm not sure he's any of the above, but since he's pretty cagey on everything, who's to know?

Probably so, but he attends the trinity united church of Christ.
Here's what they believe in... they're soooo inclusive and open-minded.
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:
1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.
I guess I wouldn't be too welcome in sen. osama's church...
Too bad, because he would be welcome in mine.

Ignore everything they say, and expose their voting record. They're hardcore liberals. This is a conservative country, that's why the voters have chosen Republicans to run every branch of the government. If Bush would announce that an executive order requiring a photo ID to vote, the dems would lose every election this century.

If his middle name is Hussein, that is priceless. In 2008 people will remember some guy who's middle name ruined his bright future. I'd stick with Osama Obama, it has a better ring to it.
