ABC News' David Chalian reports: In a radio interview with Sean Hannity, Vice President Cheney was asked what he thought of Sen. Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming president.
"I think she could win. I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for President," said Cheney.
As for that other potential Democratic '08er who has been all the buzz this week, Cheney said, "Barack Obama, attractive guy. Don't know him well, met him a few times. I think at this stage, my initial take on him was he's been two years as a senator. I think people might want a little more experience than that, given the nature of the times we live in. But certainly, he's an attractive candidate. If he decides to run, he'll be a player on the Democratic side."
Vice President Cheney's decision not to seek the presidency (which he unequivocally restated today), is making for the most wide open presidential contest in decades. 2008 will mark the first time since 1928 that neither a sitting president or vice president did not seek the presidential nomination.
Vote against Osama Obama...!!!
Cute tush.
not that there's anything wrong with that...
Cheney is basically saying 'oh yeah, that't the guy the dems should run! Go for it Dems!!' Knowing he's years from being a serious candidate.
Perhaps Dick and Obama should go hunting together....
2008 will mark the first time since 1928 that neither a sitting president or vice president did not seek the presidential nomination.Oi vey.
hahahahaha.
That about wraps it up for Obama.
I think Cheney was trying to be nice and keeps the MSM off his back.
He gives him a meaningless compliment while pointing out that he has only been a senator for two years and might need a little more experience.
Nicely done.
I love Dick Cheney... I wish he was healthier and was running in '08. I would vote for him without blinking an eye.
Bill Clinton PROVED that ANYONE can become President!!!! Just get all the Dems to vote for you and get a third person to run for the "NOT QUITE SO GULLIBLE" vote.....and DESTROY the fine reputation of your opponent.
Me too. He reminds me of my Dad. He gets the same twinkle when he's being "naughty."
ME TOO!! SEXY TOO!!
Cheney basically just said, "Bless his heart".
And most of you know what THAT means.
thats a cut-down, kind of like when liberals call Fox News "entertaining"

>>>Oi vey.>>>
Was your "Oi vey" because of the double negative in the above sentence? ABC needs writers that understand the English language.
I'm sure he had the little Cheney smirk on his face while he said it. He gave me that look at the RNC Convention and I melted.
