Cheney on Obama: "Attractive Guy"
ABC News Political Radar ^ | 10/24/06

Posted on 10/24/2006 1:11:44 PM PDT by areafiftyone

ABC News' David Chalian reports: In a radio interview with Sean Hannity, Vice President Cheney was asked what he thought of Sen. Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming president.

"I think she could win. I hope she doesn't. I disagree with her on nearly all the issues, but nobody should underestimate her. She's a very serious candidate for President," said Cheney.

As for that other potential Democratic '08er who has been all the buzz this week, Cheney said, "Barack Obama, attractive guy. Don't know him well, met him a few times. I think at this stage, my initial take on him was he's been two years as a senator. I think people might want a little more experience than that, given the nature of the times we live in. But certainly, he's an attractive candidate. If he decides to run, he'll be a player on the Democratic side."

Vice President Cheney's decision not to seek the presidency (which he unequivocally restated today), is making for the most wide open presidential contest in decades. 2008 will mark the first time since 1928 that neither a sitting president or vice president did not seek the presidential nomination.

Was your "Oi vey" because of the double negative in the above sentence?
Yes. I can't believe it ever got by the editors. Very sad.

Memo to John Conyers:

If the Democrats manage to win the House next month, please, please, impeach Bush. That would put Cheney in the Oval Office.

The only problem is that Conyers and the Leftists want to Impeach Bush, Cheney, Condi, Rumsfeld and all the Bush team! Not just Bush. They have thought about that happening. If Bush gets impeachment hearings THEY ALL GET IT! Not one will be left in office if they have their way.

Yup. It would and that is why Pelosi said no Impeachment if they win the House. She's scared of the backlash. But Conyers and Company will ignore her. This is what I have been reading.

Nope. Hillary can't win for several reasons. One, she hasn't got any personal appeal. Two, she has too much history that can expose her. Three, too mean and bossy.

Obama has everything for voters who are shallow. He has charm, appeal, cunning, looks, moderate style.... Americans are long past considering qualifications. They are picking a star they can stomach when they have to have their TV shows interrupted.

Bingo! That's why I don't think Osama Obama should run. He just doesn't have enough experience. That said, it's OK with me if the RATS want to lose in 08. Run him. LOL

Cheney knew that if he said anything negative about Barack Obama it would be interpreted racist by the MSM. Laura Ingraham on WABC here NY pretty much tagged Obama as a bore as she criticized one speech he recently gave. Ok he's young, intelligent, and has no baggage as of yet--but to be truthful, he needs to get his feet wet in the Senate for a few more years. Obama seems to me to be a classic liberal, albeit mellow.
