Democrats are liars; the drive-by media are liars; and political pollsters are liars.
As the saying goes, You write down what they say and wait and see if they were accurate. How many more times are we going to keep reacting to pollsters who we later find start their surveys with their conclusions in place and create a survey to produce those results?
The only reason these polls exist is to influence the outcome of the elections in Democrats favor.

Somethings odd then. My home town Centre Daily Times put the MSNBC polling on their front page this morning and stated it was a poll of some 600 or so "registered voters."

Katherine Harris shares are trading at 0.5 while "the field" is trading at 1.0 (Bill Nelson is trading at 98.5). I would not pay half a cent for a Harris share myself....
If the futures markets on tradeSports were regulated by the SEC you would be required to disclose that you were selling Katherine short.

In all seriousness, are there any incumbent Democrats in trouble anywhere?
I recognize the MSM might not trumpet the news, but surely they are losing somewhere...other than on election day itself.

"Registered" voters always say they will vote. Most don't. "Likely" voters is a term used by most pollsters who apply a follow-up questionnaire: 1) did you vote in 2000? For whom? 2) Did you vote in 2002? For whom? etc.
So I think these numbers are typically way off.

Not plausible whatsoever. The term "likely" voter in this case consists of merely asking, "Do you plan to vote?" Doesn't work. Most people of course say yes.
For this to be a legit poll, you'd have to ask several follow-up questions: "Did you vote in 2000? For whom? Did you vote in 2002? For whom?" Most pollsters have some method, but at the Ohio Rep. Party, we don't identify a person as a "likely" voter unless he has voted in four consecutive elections. That has worked VERY well for us, as you could see in 2004.

No they aren't. They CLAIM to be, but if you look at their methodology, they are not using "likely voter" methodologies.

I guess everyone has written off Harris vs. Nelson. Ya think?
Great lady. No support from the GOP. Hideous campaign. She should have remained a congresswoman.

McCaskill's internals have her slipping. She has a new ad out where her mother complains about Jim Talent using negative advertising. The Michael Fox ad could be a death blow. Very nasty stuff.

All depends how massive the voter fraud is in St Louis & how much the Dim machine there can get by with. Otherwise, Talent should be able to win by 3-5%. Yes. In any tight race, it always comes down to Republican turnout vs Democrat vote fraud.

Karl Marx could have won in New Jersey if he were alive. You are talking about folks who pay almost the highest property taxes in the nation to live in a toxic waste dump comprised of New York garbage and industrial effluent.

Suzy, there are many rumours flying around the right wing blogs today saying that a prominent DEM is going to get busted for National Security leaks to the media. Could be the Rove Suprise.
