I DVD'ed Olbermann overnight to check just how fawning of a performance Keith would put in with his guest Barack Obama - whom FCC regulations require me to describe as "the rising star of the Democratic party." When it came to Olbermann's sycophancy, I wasn't disappointed. After accusing Republicans of "terrorizing" Americans, the MSNBC host continued:
"proposing an alternative course for American politics, one that replaces fear with - of all things - hope, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois and his new book, The Audacity of Hope."
The toughest question Olbermann posed to his guest, touted as a possible 2008 presidential nominee, is why Obama would want to be president given the awful legacy he would be inheriting from George Bush. An indulgent Obama gave Keith a verbal pat on the head, congratulating him on his "good question."
But all the fluff aside, I was stunned by something Obama said. Describing his proposal for a phased withdrawal from Iraq, Obama added that it would:
"send a message to the Iraqis as well as to the regional powers including Iran and Syria that they have to take some ownership for creating some stability there."
What? Obama's plan is to turn Iraq over to the tender mercies of Iran and Syria? And just what kind of "stability" does he imagine that would produce?
Barack might be the Golden Boy of the MSM, but with that one statement, he demonstrated that he is not ready for prime time, letting alone for becoming Commander-in-Chief.
Aside: what does it say of Barack's ambition and ego that the photo displayed here comes from his official senatorial web site?

"I still fail to see how Barack Obama would win the presidency."
You must not be aware that Oprah is touting Obama as the next great hope for America. She had him on her show last week and it was sickening to see her fawning all over him like he was indeed able to "walk on water". Unbelieveable.....but wait.....no this is today's world with the celebraties and media determining what is best for America. As a 72 yr old "granny" I find it frightening to see that the dumbing down of America has been accomplished.
He's not even black...he's semi-black.

The empty suit speaks.
He can speak and when he does all the dems I've seen drool at voting him king of the universe. He is a democrat and socialist...and the last democratic socialists the world faced would be comfortable with their legacy being carried on.

Imagine him white.
Barack Obama, that is. Amidst all the glowing talk about the possibility of his becoming America's first black president in 2008, it's an interesting thought experiment to imagine whether Mr. Obama would elicit this swooning buzz if he were white.
That is, let's imagine a white guy with all of Mr. Obama's pluses: crinkly smile, sincere concern for the little man, fine speech a couple of years ago about bringing the nation together, a certain charisma, wrote a touching autobiography. Let's call him Barrett O'Leary.

I heard... but I also remember Oprah telling her audience to vote for Algore in 2000. We all see how well that almost worked.
I don't think Oprah's influence extends far outside of most blue states anyway, even if all the audience in those states votes socialist/commie, it won't influence the outcome of the election.
Golden Boy, the son of a Muslim father, is out there promoting Allah for the MSM and their stupid readers.
osama barak hussein obama al putrid roots for his islamic home team. Good luck with this light weight dims!!!

For a darling of the media, he sure is dumb, dumb, dumb!
BTTT
thank you for this gem...it made my day!!!!
I love it in fact. I Say frame the Debate this way. Exactly how Obama put it... "send a message to the Iraqis as well as to the regional powers including Iran and Syria that they have to take some ownership for creating some stability there."
Wait oh thats right Saddam was their tyranical solution... Oh Wait Saddam the madman intent on destroying the Good Ol USA. Lucky we took him out before he could finish gaming the UN and forget Al-Qaeda connections because the Dems tell us Saddam was afraid of Osama... Saddam himself was intent on strking us... But not for the courage of George W. Bush to under take this ACTION.... In Iraq... Many thousands of Americans would be dead or dying this very day... Take your pick Iraqi smuggled dirty bomb in last years superbowl?... Iraqi Small Pox aerosolized suicide mission over times square in a crop duster on New Years Eve pick your year or possibly still glowing downtown Tel Aviv after the Nuke bomb smuggled from North Korea by means of Iraqi, Al-Qaeda, Hezzbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad take your pick notice how one thing never changed the Islamic terrorists are all the same.
Send all the messages you want Obama. Syria and Iran lost their decoder ring a thousand years ago. BTW, they also don't have a word for 'take ownership of' as a psychological concept.
A sad commentary it is, that the difference between being labeled an "Uncle Tom", "N-bomb", "slavishly devoted" and "the rising rock star senator" is an "R" or a "D" after your name.
Or a Republican.
Butttttt, David Brooks at the NYTimes wrote and editorial this week to say Obama owes it to the party to run for POTUS! /s
Handsome? JC Watts is handsome, I don't find Obama good looking at all.
