-Snip- My guess is there are races like this out there being totally ignored by the Drive-By Media because they don't fit the action line.

One more poll result, ladies and gentlemen. This is from Rasmussen via Real Clear Politics: "Montana Senate race, Conrad Burns (who is, by the way, "toast." To help you put this in perspective, Conrad Burns is toast. It's over. Fini. That's it.) has now moved within three points of John Tester, the Democrat in Montana. I don't know. I'm looking at all this, and I'm smelling movement of some kind, and I'm drawn also, ladies and gentlemen, to our astute phone call from yesterday, said these pollsters need credibility at the end of the day, and he fully expects all these polls to tighten up in the next two weeks or so as we get close to the election.
These wide spreads that we've seen up to now in the polls are designed to depress conservatives and Republicans and thus to suppress turnout, make it look like it's a lost cause. To help along this notion that it is a sweep across the board. I know, Republican pollsters are saying the same thing, Republican strategists filled with doom and gloom. This is the Washington crowd, folks. They're all drinking the same Kool-Aid. They're all subject to the same aura that is there inside the Beltway, but there clearly is some movement here, and it probably will continue. I was thinking more and more about this Republican base not showing up, anger and so forth.

I'll have to dig my voter registration card out of its fireproof file safe, and I'll be going and voting straight down the line R . R . R . R . . ., Lord willing.
I thought all revenue related bills (Ways and Means) are to originate in the House and all spending (Appropriations) bills are to originate in the Senate.
Me too. My absentee ballot was in the mailbox 15 minutes after I got it today.
Well, the Constitution only says that revenue related bills must originate in the House. However, when it comes to spending, the House and the Senate see it differently. The House claims that they have the right to originate spending bills too, but the Senate says that they can originate spending.
Whenever the Senate does originate a spending bill, the House will "blue slip" it, or return it to the Senate without considering it. So, in practice, the only spending bills that get passed, are ones that originate in the House.
I just love Rush, even though he is a lot of blowhard when calling himself the greatest of everything!!! :)
A. He actually IS out of touch.
B. Abramoff. He might actually be guilty too, especially after Ney pleaded guilty.
C. Gaff after gaff after gaff.
D. He pledged to serve only 2 terms. This'll be his fourth if he wins.
Honestly, I want Burns to win, but if we have to lose a seat, I hope this is the one we lose. Burns has done it to himself again and again and again.
DeWine sucks, but look at Brown.
In comparison to Brown, DeWine is Tom Coburn.
Brown just isn't left, he's not just far left. He's far, far, far left. He's to the left of John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Dianne Feinstein...he might be slightly to the right of Barbra Boxer.
There is no excuse to allow a socialist like Brown in office with your silence.
BTTT and keep this bumped!
Then -- get out there and vote!!!!!!
Via Rush found this gem ...
OH MY - Jenifer Loven of AP media bias headline:
"Bush stumps for adulterer, candidate accused of slurs"
Sherwood and Allen..
I WAS WORRIED BUSH WAS CAMPAIGNING FOR TED KENNEDY AND HILLARY CLINTON. What a relief!
The manufactured David Kuo fraud was designed to do the same but to Christian Conservatives specifically. And tonight Newsweek has a phony "poll" showing religious Republicans as "disillusioned". There are clearly worried that Karl Rove will get the troops out on Nov 7 and are pulling out all the suppression strategies they can invent. Don't buy it! Get out and vote early and often!
Have you seen his debates? He comes across as both drunk and demented. If Tester didn't sound so phony it would be a 10 point loss.
Remember that when you think about not voting in November.
Thank you. God bless you too. Just doing my duty as an American looking out for the best interest of my country.
Burns is "toast" because that's how the media is portraying it, and has been portraying it for some time now. Even the Billings Gazette (which gets a large circulation in Montana) has softened up on Burns after lashing Burns for months. Tester should be up 20 or 30 points or more after all the abuse he's gotten from Tester and the media, but he's not.
Bullcrap. Tester is not well-known in the eastern half of the state. Tester is from Big Sandy which is 75 miles northeast of Great Falls, which is northcentral Montana. Tester only won the nod for the Democratic candidate because his Democrat opponent had skeletons in his closet and was more crooked than the hind leg of a coon hound. Most Democrat elites couldn't care less what exists east of Havre, Great Falls, and Billings (the eastern third of the state, which is where the farming votes exist, which is one of the largest voting blocs in this state).
Keep an eye on Yellowstone County (the most populated county in the state, whose county seat is Billings), it's the county that carries the state, and it's where Conrad and Phyllis Burns call home.
Dunno his relationship with Hannity, but Boortz makes no bones about the fact that he is a good buddy of Rush.
Apparently you haven't lived through 40 years of the Dems being in control of the House like some of us have. If you had you wouldn't be making that statement.
Much to your displeasure it isn't going to happen.
If Burns sounds drunk and demented, how come he's inside the margin of error?
Tester's whole premise of balancing budgets in the legislature are so stupid it's laughable. Every state has to balance their budget, it's the law.
If Tester didn't have to follow the law, he'd be gleefully shovelling money into the university system.
> Much to your displeasure it isn't going to happen. <
Actually, I hope it doesn't, but if it did, it would be the end of the world as some here think.

Still sure you wish to vote present only in a race involving Mr. Brown?
