Rush's...Polls in Key Races Showing Movement in Republican Direction
Rush Limbaugh ^ | October 20, 2006 | Rush Limbaugh

-Snip- My guess is there are races like this out there being totally ignored by the Drive-By Media because they don't fit the action line.

-Snip=

One more poll result, ladies and gentlemen. This is from Rasmussen via Real Clear Politics: "Montana Senate race, Conrad Burns (who is, by the way, "toast." To help you put this in perspective, Conrad Burns is toast. It's over. Fini. That's it.) has now moved within three points of John Tester, the Democrat in Montana. I don't know. I'm looking at all this, and I'm smelling movement of some kind, and I'm drawn also, ladies and gentlemen, to our astute phone call from yesterday, said these pollsters need credibility at the end of the day, and he fully expects all these polls to tighten up in the next two weeks or so as we get close to the election.

These wide spreads that we've seen up to now in the polls are designed to depress conservatives and Republicans and thus to suppress turnout, make it look like it's a lost cause. To help along this notion that it is a sweep across the board. I know, Republican pollsters are saying the same thing, Republican strategists filled with doom and gloom. This is the Washington crowd, folks. They're all drinking the same Kool-Aid. They're all subject to the same aura that is there inside the Beltway, but there clearly is some movement here, and it probably will continue. I was thinking more and more about this Republican base not showing up, anger and so forth.

Many, many voters are seriously comparing candidates only now through election day. Polls do not predict. Good GOP candidates with good voter education and GOTV drives will rise.

It would be nice is we could pick up a fews seats in both houses. That would set the MSM heads spinning.

It's gonna come down to turnout as always. If the MSM can depress Republican turnout they and their party will win.

Folks, you must, must, vote. It's the only real voice you have. Just imagine if after all the work put in on behalf of the Dems, the media fails. Wouldn't THAT be a hoot?

Don't just vote. If you really want to be effective, get out there and volunteer, to affect more votes!

The latest voter intensity numbers from Rasmussen and and Cook both show the same thing. Republicans are now ever so slightly ahead in intent to vote. That's NOW. That's a sniff of the very beginning of the foley backlash. Wait until next week when it has fully kicked in. Also it is the Democrats that always have the turn out problem in mid term elections.

Apparently, Burns has shot himself in the foot a couple of times during the campaign, but looks to have righted the ship.

I have already voted......for the GOOD guys!

Me too. And I had the opportunity to send a message. I voted in the write in category in a race where a 'rat is running unopposed for "any Republican." I didn't have room to write "anyone who is not a Democrat" or "Any patriot, which rules out any democrat."

Some advise from LOTR.

Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me!

A day may come when the courage of men fails. When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves, and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down!

But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear... on this good earth... I bid you stand! Men of the West!

It would cause heads to implode over at DU, MoveOn, etc. It's already a vacuum in there and the brittle shell can't take much additional pressure.

I had ever intention to let DeWine go down in flames over his BS deal on judicial nominations and his voting for amnesty and Social Security for illegals. Those actions of his is why he is down in the polls in Ohio. Base is pissed off that he betrayed us.

Now that letting his ass sink would give control to the traitors in the Democratic party, I and every other GOP conservative in Ohio will be forced to vote for his worthless ass while holding our noses.

PS - Also bringing two other voters along - You can be sure this is not reflected in the worthless polls!

Personally, while I hope the Pubs retain the Senate, I would like to see the Dems take over the House. One, it would be a needed slap in the face to the somnabulent House leadership. Two, I think the American public needs to see a Speaker Pelosi and Committee Chairs Conyers and Waxman. I think it would definitely be a boon to conservatives in 2008.

I think that folks just don't get involved in mid-term elections until the final few weeks. The candidates don't really have the cash to buy air time the way air time gets consumed during a presidential election, so the only views that get expressed are basically those of the drive-by media....the pundits, the soothsayers, the partisan.

In a presidential election, it is also easier to form an early opinion, because it really boils down to a choice between 2 people who are unrelentingly thrown in your face for about 18 months.

Congressmen don't have that kind of cash or media interest.

Our Republican candidates have wisely saved their cash for the time when voters finally start to pay attention.

I think we'll see huge movement now that the issues are finally getting on the tube. Republicans, of course and always, have to buy coverage of their viewpoints. The liberal press suppresses all alternative views.

Wasn't Rush dismissing the same polls when they were showing Democratic wins?

Why would you want to give those traitors and tax raisers control of the house? You must be nuts or a DUer troll! Give them the house, tax cuts will expire and your taxes go up! Give me a break!

There is something in what you say. A pro-homosexual, pedofile, anti-US war effort led House would set the Defeatocrats way back for '08.

John Conyers, Alstee Hastings, Nancy Pelosi, etc (too bad McKinney's gone) will give Rush and Hannity plenty to talk about for two years.

That's the thing about polls...they're only true when they validate what you think!!!
