Rush's...Polls in Key Races Showing Movement in Republican Direction
Rush Limbaugh ^ | October 20, 2006 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 10/21/2006 3:59:45 AM PDT by Oakleaf

-Snip- My guess is there are races like this out there being totally ignored by the Drive-By Media because they don't fit the action line.

-Snip=

One more poll result, ladies and gentlemen. This is from Rasmussen via Real Clear Politics: "Montana Senate race, Conrad Burns (who is, by the way, "toast." To help you put this in perspective, Conrad Burns is toast. It's over. Fini. That's it.) has now moved within three points of John Tester, the Democrat in Montana. I don't know. I'm looking at all this, and I'm smelling movement of some kind, and I'm drawn also, ladies and gentlemen, to our astute phone call from yesterday, said these pollsters need credibility at the end of the day, and he fully expects all these polls to tighten up in the next two weeks or so as we get close to the election.

These wide spreads that we've seen up to now in the polls are designed to depress conservatives and Republicans and thus to suppress turnout, make it look like it's a lost cause. To help along this notion that it is a sweep across the board. I know, Republican pollsters are saying the same thing, Republican strategists filled with doom and gloom. This is the Washington crowd, folks. They're all drinking the same Kool-Aid. They're all subject to the same aura that is there inside the Beltway, but there clearly is some movement here, and it probably will continue. I was thinking more and more about this Republican base not showing up, anger and so forth.

My friend more important than you voting is to make sure you get a Republican friend or family member to the poll.

Boortz is an ass
I only agree with him on 2 issues.
#1 Fair tax
#2 Public schools are a liberal mess.
However, Boortz despises Christians and often mocks them on his show. He also thinks he is as powerful as Rush Limbaugh. To him this election is a game to see which radio talk show host will emerge as the "true voice"
I never listen to him, I listen to Laura Ingram on the Internet during his time slot.

What you propose is dangerous, reckless, and illogical. If the House is controled by Democrats, no expiring tax cut legislation will be renewed. Defense? Financially, the President proposes, and the House disposes. Simply put, even if GW puts a budget forth with enough for defense, the controling party in the HOUSE doesn't have to enact it. Deadlock? Yes, it is and all the while, the military languishes under CRs (in case you don't know what that is, they are "continuing resolutions" that are subsistence allocations. IOW, nothing new, innovative or that can turn the tides in IRAQ.

Couple the financially crippling inaction (or absurd action by the HOUSE that forces GW to veto) with never-ending investigations, panels and hearings in the HOUSE over GW's impending impeachment, you have a serious impediment to the business of killing our enemies, Muslim terrorists. If you still think this is a good strategy, then you, sir, are a complete fool....

The first and only time I've listened to Boortz, he went on a rant about the Catholic Church, asking his audience, "If the Catholic Church wants to help the poor, why is it against birth control?"

What an idiot!

I turned off the radio. That was the last time I listened to Boortz.

Did DeWine vote to confirm Roberts and Alito on the Supreme Court?

Would Sherrod Brown have voted to confirm Roberts and Alito?

What type of justice do you want to replace Stevens and Ginsburg?

Get a grip. You sound like the reverse of the lefty loonies who think Bush & Co. want to put them in concentration camps and the like.

> It sounds to me like jaime1959 has been listening the Neal Boortz, he's been spouting this line to his listeners for weeks now. <

Nope, never listen to him. Don't even think he's on where I live.

Did you read the article. He offered an explanation that you ignore in your post.

No, I read it. He's saying the pollsters are manipulating the results, which I find hard to believe.

Why can't we revoke your privileges to be embedded over here with decent Americans?

Well found your own forum and then you can exclude anyone you want.

Immigration is an issue, but the big issue is taxes and the incumbant wanting to keep our refund. Even Socialists get overtaxed. Look for a House pickup here.

Pray for W and The Election

..when the story broke about Karl Rove and his unusual optimism about the election--that nailed it for me...

..and while I'm in the neighborhood, Rush had it right concerning immigration--many Republicans (not all) are blowing a golden opportunity...

He is on out of Las Vegas now. When I'm in the car during that period I used to listen to someone else in that timeslot which has since been switched to Boortz... I heard some of his elect dems stuff the other day and was livid... thank goodness most people are working when he's on and Levin is on during the primetime drive comute period after Savage.

When I'm home I can get Rush during that time of day. Thank goodness I'm home most of the time!

Why do you find that hard to believe? In most cases it appears they are oversampling dems.

What I would find hard to believe is the idea that they would suddenly change. If they've been biased towards Democrats before why wouldn't they be in this latest round?

Except Bush doesn't want to put them in concentration camps. The terrorists do want to nuke us, and there are bad guys out there with nukes and Al Qaeda has already attacked us once. Or have you forgotten?

The stakes are high here, and the democrats are too busy fighting Bush and the Republicans to worry about fighting the terrorists.

And don't make the mistake of thinking that the ilsamic terrorists' goal is anything short of destroying civilization.
