Blunt on Intel Leak
U.S. Newswire ^

Posted on 10/20/2006 10:28:25 AM PDT by zippy the razor

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) today issued the following statement on the suspension of a Democrat House Intel Committee staffer pending review of the possibility that the staffer illegally leaked sensitive intelligence to The New York Times:

"We are a nation at war and intelligence is one of the most valuable tools we have to fight terrorists. Intelligence should never be used as a political weapon.

"It is absolutely necessary that the House Intel Committee conduct a thorough review of the illegal leak of intelligence to The New York Times in war time. I support Chairman Hoekstra's decision to suspend a staffer who may have orchestrated the leak until all the facts are known.

"I hope Democrats would never knowingly and illegally leak sensitive information just to score political points. And that's what an investigation would determine. I would expect anyone who is found to have illegally leaked such information to be terminated from government employment and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

"The safety and security of the American people is too important to risk with partisan political games."

The clock is ticking...a little over two weeks to the election. Gotta love Rove and the Republicans at this point.

What did the RAT leak?

Select portions of the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq. The portions leaked were those which were most damaging to the Adminstration.

NO. The drive by media will not report this as it would hurt their Democrat cell mates.

My hope is that all the ducks are in a row and this rat/Times espionage ring will be exposed little by little over the next two weeks.

This could be the hammer to the brain for the rats. The Republican message this election has been national security. Shedding light on this nest of cockroaches in the house and senate only serves to bring that message home so that every American can see what is at stake.

We need to know WHO this leaker is, exactly how it was spread and who was the influence behind the leaker besides Hillary and her buddy, Mandy Grunwald.

Could it be Rove's October Suprise. It puts the national debate and agenda where it should be. National security. The Pubbies always seem to give the Rats the rope they need to hang themselves.
