Muslim activists called on Pace University yesterday to crack down on hate crimes after a second copy of the Koran was found in a toilet at its Manhattan campus.

"This incident meets the legal definition of a hate crime," said Aliya Latif, a member of the Association of Muslim American Lawyers. "Indeed, this is no different from placing a burning cross in front of a house or painting a swastika on a locker."

The discovery of the holy book in a toilet at Pace's lower Manhattan campus on Oct. 13 follows a similar act at Pace on Sept. 21.

Earlier this month, someone scrawled racial slurs on a student's car at the Westchester County campus and on a bathroom wall at the campus in lower Manhattan.

Pace officials had no immediate comment yesterday but have referred the matter to police. NYPD spokesman Detective Kevin Czartoryski said the investigation into the Koran desecrations

FU. Probably perpetrated by a member of a "peace loving" religion.

This has to stop. It could do serious damage to the plumbing, maybe even cause a flood and wreck the plaster on the next floor down.

I'm waiting to find out that a Muslim did it to generate some sympathy...

Yeah, well, that's exactly where it belongs.

I'm sure Aliya Latif would be deeply saddened to know that for the past four years, each September 11th, I've ripped the cover off a koran and burned the pages.  Then I cut the cover into the shape of shoe inserts and walk around on them all day.  I only do that for one day, because I don't like to have such evil so close to me.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

Thanks for the laugh!

On a more serious note, I wonder if the book in the toilet had been a Bible would these same people be screaming out loud and crying hate crime? I already know the answer.

A koran in a toilet is a hate crime? Then what is a crucifix in a bottle of urine? A painting of the Virgin Mary smeared with elephant dung? Oh that's right - that's art! Thin-skinned muzzies need to shut up.

P.S. The Manhattan campus of Pace is less than a mile from Ground Zero. Surprised there aren't any muslims stuffed in the toilet along with their 'holy' book!

If a koran in the crapper is a hate crime, what do you call 3000 dead and billions of dollars in property damage? "I just gotta be me"?

Ah. You can't help but love muslim extremism even when they whine. Putting koran in toilet where no one is around is not the same as going onto someone's property and burning a cross or scrawling a swastika on the locker of someone you know to be jewish.

In this, they give away their true feelings : That the personal, physical integrity of nonmoslems, even nonmoslem lives, are of less value than moslem emotions over seeing their worthless book 'desecrated' (personally, I think the commode was desecrated).

I have to disagree here, since you're not, as far as we know, damaging someone else's property...Except for the toilet perhaps, and that would only occur if a flush were attempted.

How exactly is any of this a crime? Ah well, the libs who were telling us all to chill out over Andres Serrano and piss Christ are now willing to walk on eggshells about Koran brand TP. Once upon a time America understood the concept of "F'em if they can't take a joke". The sooner the "hate crimes" laws go off the books the better.
