... the Messiah says "Scorned by men and despised by the people, I am a worm, not a man." Sounds like He was talking 'bout Mr. J! ;^)

Elsie the 'dead' in Christ will rise first because they are already with Him. Remember that while in the tomb Christ went to the prisoners alll the way back to Noah's time and offered them salvation first.

Because religious relationship [as distinct from other relationships, like, say, of a person to his/her tools] is that of uncomprehending supplication.I disagree.

I know there are other benevolent beliefs that contain proper morals teachings and foster congruitiy and respect among us fellow humans, I just see Christianity as a sort of pinnacle of that type of belief, and am rather glad it exists... as an atheist. Well then: quit dragging your feet and jump on board!
(HE took me in, so I'm purty sure HE'll take anyone. ;^)

Christ, and a conservative atheist (such as myself) discussing the issue of hypocritical liberals that call themselves Christians? Or is that not good? It's a good idea. I'll file it in the memory bank.

Sorry, I'm not inclined to believe in a man made deity any time soon. Now, remember the previous statement is completely and unequivicably subjective and not meant as an insult to either you or Christianity.

What does that even mean? Is your image of atheists so skewed that you see them as having no morals. Most I have met are pacifists. Most I have met are married with children. I am sure there are bad ones out there, just like their are bad Christians. I look down upon no man for his beliefs(even RATs). I just don't have to agree with them. Do not forget that we are all human beings.

Elsie the 'dead' in Christ will rise first because they are already with Him.I don't see that in Scripture anywhere.
Remember that while in the tomb Christ went to the prisoners alll the way back to Noah's time and offered them salvation first.
Then did HE also go FORWARD in time to my Grampa?
Or is he still 'sleeping' with the fathers or has he 'gone on ahead'?

Um... the many religous people out there who don't lead wholesome lives? My bad: I was wanting a definition of what is WHOLESOME.

Yes. This is common among the superstitious and religious. Funny thing is, I'd contend law-abiding, patriotic, happily married conservative non-theist fathers such as myself must be more moral than people like Elsie. Heck, I lead a good, clean life and I don't even "have" to according to the Elsie's of the world. Go figure.

Is your image of atheists so skewed that you see them as having no morals. Sorry. I was looking for an AUTHORITY to decide what IS wholesome (or MORAL).

... Says Elsie who has, in the past on this very forum, agreed that Jews are hell bound as well as some other wonderful viewpoints along those lines.

Please Freepmail me those titles again.
To be added to my ever-burgeoning reading list.
