WND Books' latest release, "American Mourning," has risen to No. 84 on Amazon.com's best-seller list, just a day after its official launch.
Authors Melanie Morgan and Catherine Moy, tell the story of the tragic loss of two young soldiers in Iraq and how the reactions of their families the Sheehans and the Johnsons are poles apart, just as the American nation is split over the value of taking out terrorists overseas instead of in our backyards.
The two authors are scheduled to talk about their book, available at the Shop.WND.com store, tomorrow on the Fox News Channel show "Fox and Friends" at 8:20 a.m. Eastern time.
Tomorrow, the authors will appear on CNN Headline News' "Glenn Beck Show" at 7 p.m. Eastern.
Morgan will appear on CNN's "Paula Zahn Now" show tomorrow as a panelist, discussing other topics.
She will discuss the book in studio on "Hardball with Chris Matthews" on MSNBC Friday night.
A clip of the authors' appearance last night on the Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" can be viewed here.
Morgan co-hosts a top-rated drive-time show with Lee Rodgers on KSFO 560AM in San Francisco, is chairman of Move America Forward in support of U.S. troops and has 30 years journalism experience.
THIS IS AN EXCERPT - FULL STORY HERE
How many million copies did Soros buy?
(Wealthy backers buy them by the truckload and then dump them on the remainder market in a few weeks.)
They both hit home runs on Hannity & Colmes, despite Colmes being such a hypocrite and complaining that they focused on Sheehan's internet porn.
We are lucky on the right that we have so many articulate women.
Sounds like an interesting book.
It's a great pro-troop book! Even though I work with Melanie I went and bought my own copy at DoubleDay Bookstore today and ordered a few more online from Amazon.
Somehow I don't think this is the type of book Soros would be interested in buying.
Melanie Morgan
The funny thing about the H&C episode is that it was Colmes that kept bringing up Sheehan's interest in internet pornography. He must mentioned it over and over. It reminded me a little of Ted Kennedy and his repeated references to water-boarding. I now wonder about Colmes.
Why is she going on Chrissy Matthews' show? No one will watch while she gets screamed down every time she opens her mouth, and gets drenched with spittle.
Hope she remembers to bring her rain gear.
"she gets screamed down every time she opens her mouth"
Melanie is pretty good about dishing it out too. I think it will be a show worth watching.
TOTALLY! In the interview neither Melanie Morgan nor Catherine Moy had mentioned this or attacked Sheehan on this. Just her being used as a pawn for John Kerry campaign and stuff related to the debate over the war.
But then Colmes kept bringing up Sheehan's extra-marital affairs and her addiction to online pornography that developed after her son died.
I was wondering if the girls' publicist slipped Colmes a $100 bill and asked him to stress anything juicy he could to make the audience pay closer attention to the book. I'm sure thousands of couch-potatoed Americans, half-paying attention as they laid back and vegged in front of the TV had their ears suddenly perk up at all of this talk of X-rated Internet Messages, online porn websites and chat rooms and the adulterous behavior of Cindy Sheehan.
I see from thr Fox transcript that Colmes continually reinforces Ann Coulter's point...he calls them 'despicable' for daring to do a book on Sheehan, and his answer to everything is that 'everyone greives differently' and so what he's saying is that for someone who has lost a son, nothing negative can be said about them (particularly if they are on the Left, of course) which is what many of us, including Ann Coulter, have been saying for a very long time. The Left puts up a 'greiving widow' and then nobody is allowed to respond to their political statements 'because that is so terribly insensitive'.
Good for these ladies in standing their ground to Colmes....he really doesn't strike me as being too bright, using all of the old, tired ploys of the Left.
LOL!!!
I think Melanie's approach has always been that to get the national discussion on the issues you care about you go to the enemy turf, even though you know they will treat you unfair. Same thing here with this book tour.
Melanie's done this countless times before on other issues. And she's used to the name-calling. Oh my, you should see the names they are calling Melanie and Catherine. It's amazing! The compassionate, open-minded, love-everyone types on the Left sure do hate conservatives with a passion!
Colmes was clearly instrumental in pumping up the sales of this book. Pretty funny, really. Maybe he did take something under the table :)
BINGO!
Melanie and Catherine did a good job at standing up to that line of attack.
Luck has nothing to do with it. The persons on the right positions themselves on the right because they are capable of reason. Those who are not capable of reason, who can be told that the Kennedys are the heroes of the Civil Rights Movement but do not know that JFK voted against the Civil Rights Act, for instance, are on the left - all emotion, sound and fury, vitriol and vocabulary, no substance. On the left, they get told what to think, what to feel, what to spout at what volume. To them, it's liberating. Women on the right are truly free - free to think, free to analyze. Therefore they must be articulate.
- Woman on the right.
I certainly understand that, and I applaud her for doing this. But she ought to go on some other show where more than just a handful of frothing moonbats (and the Newsbusters crew, which probably makes up half of Spitball's audience) will see her make her points.
WND needs better proofreaders. There are several spelling errors/typos in that article.
Sorry that just really annoys me to see that in professional work.
Well, inside news has it, she's not bringing HER rain gear, she's bringing HIM 'rain gear'. The instant he opens his howling pie hole she's planning to yank a Trojan down over him so she can keep talking without assinine interruptions.
