The Summer Ratings Book is in today in New York and Levin beats Savage - Again - 4.1 to 3.8 ( 6 to 8 p.m.)
So I take it you think we should pay more attention to the legions of phd holding libs out there?
Savage jumped the shark two years ago. The Howard Beale shtick is getting old.
I lost a lot of respect for Savage when he attacked Rush Limbaugh's radio expertise. Say what you want about Rush Limbaugh's drug past, his politics... but when you attack his expertise in the radio business... credibity goes away.
If it weren't for Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage would be working at the local Vitamin Store. For that, Savage should have respect.
I'm not even certain he is a righty with the $5600 donation he and his 'wife' made to Governor Moonbean for California AG.
Dr. Scott responds, "who is this Rush Limbaugh guy? I've been doing this for years and if somebody's copying me...I wanna know about it. Who is this Rush Limbaugh guy>"
Surely a few years later Dr. Scott found out who he was. I must say that Michael Savage is the Dr. Scott of Christian TV... atleast for the moment. I think Michael Savage spends a lot of time watching Dr. Scott to perfect his radio character. Atleast Rush Limabugh, Mark Levin and Dr. Scott are themselves. They dont just play the character when the mic is on.
I thought I heard Savage say that he went to a dinner fundraiser to hear the speakers who would be there. That "donation" was the cost of attending the dinner. At least, I think that was his explanation.
So, if his explanation is plausible, how much is reasonable to spend on surveillance of the other side (if that's what it was)? How much is reasonable for a person who talks politics on the radio each day to actually attend a function (fundraiser notwithstanding) to get more material for the show? Also consider that Savage lives in California and this is a pretty important race in California.
Now, I'm not sure if Savage actually came out and endorsed Brown. Did he?

The article I read was clear. Savage said Brown had done a great job in Oakland (he hasn't) and he (Savage) didn't know anything about the GOP candidate... now, for someone who's living is based on knowing who is who this was an uterly stupid statement because Poochigian is not a Johnny come lately candidate.
My favorites are:
Rush
Drudge
Laura
Medved
I'm not trying to defend Savage, I'm only saying that this is what I heard him say on the radio the other day.
The other day, Schwarzenegger went to a breakfast for Willie Brown's non-profit. Also there were Barbara Boxer and Don Perata. I know it's different because Schwarzenegger is running, but does this mean that Schwarzenegger is supporting Boxer and Perata because he was at a breakfast with them?
Savage said he went to a dinner to hear the speakers, and the price of admission was a donation to Brown. Let's see what else he says about Brown between now and November 7.

"Savage is the Calamity Jane of the right. Nothing but negativity, anger, and depression. And what's with the freaking poodle? Is he gay?"
You're asking an interesting question there.
"It's a shame seeing Savage even mentioned in the same breath as the Great One."
Let's see:
Mark Levin: served as Chief of Staff to AG Ed Meese
Hugh Hewitt: served alongside John Roberts in Reagan White House
Rush Limbaugh: revolutionized, revitalized the AM dial; unofficially known as the Majority Maker of the 94 Republican victory
or
Michael Savage: ...ah...wrote love letters to Allen Ginsburg...
Good. Savage is an ugly customer. I doubt he persuades anyone. I'm sure he turns more than a few people off.
"Rush, and Mark Levin, and Laura Ingraham, and Hugh Hewitt, and Michael Medved and dozens of others are just as good as Savage on Islamofascism, but do it in a way that doesn't bring their ideas into disrepute--with the screaming and the out of control rants."
Savage wants to bring the boys home before they complete the mission.
He does not support the troops.
He gives aid and comfort to the Islamonaziterrorists.
Other than that, dittos on your post.
Thanks! Good post!
Savage has come out in support of Jerry Brown. He quoted Brown on Brown's education in the Jesuit ministry and character building and thought it was great. Savage said he wished he had taped it. Savage said that Brown gave such clear and thoughtful statements about character and service that Savage now believes Jerry Brown is a Middle Roader and someone Savage could support.
Levin rocks, Savage rocks.
Can't we just all get along?

You're welcome. I listen to Michael most nights.
Sometimes his tirades and moods wear on me, especially when he becomes quite Gothic.
