The Summer Ratings Book is in today in New York and Levin beats Savage - Again - 4.1 to 3.8 ( 6 to 8 p.m.)
I go with Levin all the way. Not only do I WANT to listen, I feel I HAVE to, to get his intelligent and well-informed perspective.
I just wish Mark would not refer to Savage so much on air. Maybe Savage does it to Levin too, I don't know.
Mark has nothing to worry about.
If this keeps up Savage will have to come up with a juvenile/nasty nickname for Levin just like he has for Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly. .....if he hasn't already done so...
link?
Driving down I-95 last night from New Yrok to Washington, it was a real treat to listen to all of Mark Levin's show. This is one former inhabitant of The Savage Nation who isn't going back!
One can listen to someone who's intelligent, has facts, and is hilarious, or one can listen to Savage, the Michael Moore of the right.
Not that I'm a fan of Michael Savage Weiner, mind you . . . I had that guy pegged as a fraud years ago.
How exactly are radio ratings figured? It must be awfully difficult to conduct surveys of radio listeners.
"One can listen to someone who's intelligent, has facts, and is hilarious, or one can listen to Savage, the Michael Moore of the right."
Savage is the Calamity Jane of the right. Nothing but negativity, anger, and depression. And what's with the freaking poodle? Is he gay?
Yeah, that obsession with his poodle is kinda creepy. But hey, it's not like he likes showtunes or something...
It's a shame seeing Savage even mentioned in the same breath as the Great One.
I listen to Mark on WABC every day and he keeps getting better, like a fine wine.
Savage could be such a gem, instead of the lump of coal he is.
Here in Philly, WABC comes in clear as a bell, so we get Mark every day.
Nah nah nah nah nah nah.....
That's a good question. Someone with a lot more knowledge about this than me should chime in here, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that radio stations have some way of measuring the level of "signal reception" they get from their broadcasts. Something like this is particularly important because -- unlike television -- so many radio listeners are in cars or using other mobile devices.
Information from wikipedia.com is notoriously inaccurate and/or unconfirmed, but even half of what's posted there is true, then Savage is a real loony-tune.
Savage # 3 nationwide
Levin # 795326718197635 nationwide
real competition there.
Savage is a LOON.
I'm definitely in the Levin camp, and I agree with you: the 'Weiner Nation' references get old.
Savage, unfortunately, is the proverbial 't*rd in the punchbowl' of conservative talk radio. I used to listen to him occasionally, and tolerated his bashing of other talk show hosts, but I got disgusted with him when he started bashing GWB as much as the loons on Air America. The time he had Chuckie Schmuckie Schumer on to spew 'Rat talking points about the Dubai ports fiasco was the final straw with Savage -- I haven't listened to him since.
Hey, but don't forget, Savage puts his money where his mouth is.....right into DEMOCRAT Jerry Brown's campaign!!!
