Screw you trolls, I'm voting and I'm Voting all R's!

I don't know about you, but I have had it up to and including my A$$ with all the whining that is going on around here about what the Republicans have or have not done to deserve your vote this November.. I know for sure that if we had the Democrats in power the past 10 years it would be a hell of a lot worse, with or without President Bush.. I'm not entirely happy about many things that are happening, (fill in the blank, with garbage on the other threads), but I am thrilled that I am not paying as much in taxes as I would have with (fill in the blank with any jackass in the Democrat leadership).. And I am grateful as all get out, that we are not ducking terrorist bombs in my neighborhood, or anywhere else in these United States..

I think I can say without any reservations that Roberts and Alito are a whole lot better than anyone that Leaky Leahy or Turban Durbin would have approved.. And what about our military? Would we still have one if congress wasn't in our control?

Give me a friggin break, I haven't found one single person that makes all of my dreams come true, (even Nicole Kidman, I think) why should I expect more than a half dozen out of 435 Congressgritters to even agree with me on most of what I want done in our country.. Hell, I don't even get that in my own home with blood of my blood that even look like me!

So if it's all the same with you.. and YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, I'm going to wake up on November 7th and make a great big special breakfast, with all the trimmin's and invite all of my kids and as many neighbors as I think I can bribe with food and feed them until they say Uncle Sam and drive their fat a$$es to the polls and get them to pull the lever for everyone with an R after their name to insure that I can sleep peacefully that night and hopefully ever night thereafter..

That's my plan, don't be a damned fool and mess up my vote with some stupid idea that will cancel mine out, just to prove that you can be as dumb as you sound!

Ah.... a recipe for "blood filter". I used to love fried 'calves' liver the way my mom cooked it but after eating some 'bull' liver at Luby's Cafeteria last year I can't even think about (burp) liver anymore without (burp) getting barfey (barf).

I think Rove's Plan is working flawlessly!

Control all the opinion polls
Over sample dems (Make the opposition appear larger than it is)
Have Republicans lie to the pollsters (Give the impression the base is disillusioned)
Talking heads/pundits/unidentified sources predict huge (hugh) Republican losses
Democrat voters become over confident (no need to vote since they've won already)
Republican voters are revved up (can't wait to vote)
Get all the scandals out there early
Voters will forget by Nov. 7
Show dem's hypocracy
Something else will distract the media before election day (North Korea, Iran, Madonna adopts (buys) a baby)
Reprogram all the Diebold machines
Two R votes for every D vote.
Every 15th vote goes to the Independent

"It's all about turnout..."

Actually .. it's all about the commitment Republicans have about voting.

I don't have to be bribed, enthused, prodded, etc.; I don't have to be wined and dined and promised the world.

I VOTE BECAUSE IT IS MY CIVIC DUTY TO VOTE. This is the SILENT MAJORITY. You don't have to do anything to get us to vote - never, ever.

The dems cannot understand how the repubs seem to get voters coming out of the woodwork to vote - HERE I AM. I vote everytime, all the time, I WOULD NEVER, EVER NOT VOTE.

The dems don't understand that because they don't have PARTIOTIC members .. they have POWER members. The dems want to get elected to have POWER - power over others, and power to line their own pockets. Most repubs want to get elected because they truly BELIEVE IN AMERICA. I can vote for repubs because they (as a general rule) support and defend those things which are most important to me: safety for me and my family; freedom to be whatever I can be.

Unless I'm dead, I WILL ALWAYS VOTE!!

Anybody who thinks differently is not an AMERICAN. Unless you vote you will be assigning America to be a loser, 3rd world nation. Our founders and our military have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free and prosperous.

How can we NOT VOTE ..??

Mmmmm - Carlo, I made Linguine with Clam Sauce a couple of days ago, and the recipe was nearly identical to yours, except that it called for 2T of flour right after the garlic, butter and olive oil.

Anyway, one thing I don't like about living in beautiful Oregon is that we have mail-in voting. Hubby and I always used to go and vote right after work - always made us feel as if we're really participating in the democratic (small "D") process. Voting by mail just takes some of the patriotic feel out of it, but we're going to dutifully fill out our ballots and mail them in (all Rs).

We have a bunch of state measures too, and the TV commercials for and against can make your head spin. We're just going to look at the arguments for and against in our pamphlet, and if labor unions and wacko tree-hugger groups are "for", then we're "agin"!

Yep- good points, but I still can't do it. Lieberman had an ACU rating of 0 in '04. He's a lying liberal scum on every issue except the WOT (which, granted, is a huge issue)...

At least Lamont is intellectually honest about most things, he'll cut and run, screw us on taxes, etc... If you have him in the Senate, at least Americans will know what kind of looney leftist he is.

The Maggot infected trolls here and in the MSM were demanding Denny's head in 24 hours after their Foley bs.

The thread below shows the reality of the gay loving rat party and a real page stalker/abuser, Studds/Rat, who just died.

THE PAGE-STALKER THAT DEMS LIONIZED

October 17, 2006 -- THE death over the weekend of former Rep. Gerry Studds, the first openly gay member of Congress, is a stark reminder of how much all those howls of Democratic outrage over the Mark Foley scandal ring so hollow.

The Massachusetts Democrat is being hailed by national political leaders, including Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, as a "role model" who "gave a lot of people courage" by coming out of the closet.

Yet Studds openly declared his homosexuality only after an investigation revealed he'd had a sexual relationship with a male teenage congressional page and propositioned two others.

That behavior was clearly worse than Foley's - and Studds, to his dying day, never apologized. So how did this make him a hero?

News of Foley's lewd e-mails and instant messages to pages has prompted some mention of that first scandal, but most accounts miss the fact that the Democratic-controlled House almost let him off the hook.

In 1983, Studds and Rep. Dan Crane, an Illinois Republican, were both formally censured after they admitted to past sexual relationships with underage pages.

But House leaders had wanted to give both men the mildest rebuke - and proclaimed that Speaker Tip O'Neill had been "vindicated."

The affair began when two former pages went public with allegations that numerous House members had had sex with underage pages and used them as couriers for a drug ring. One page soon admitted that he'd lied; the other's allegations could not be substantiated.

But after rejecting calls for a special prosecutor, the House authorized its Ethics Committee to launch its own probe, which lasted for a full year.

The investigation determined that both Studds and Crane had had sex with underage pages....

after eating some 'bull' liver at Luby's Cafeteria last year I can't even think about (burp) liver anymore without (burp) getting barfey (barf).

Bwhahahahahahahaha.. Ain't that the truth though.. More folks spoil the chance to enjoy a dish like Liver and onions because some jack leg screwed it up once, usually when they were kids.. It's the same thing with real chicken and dumplings .. Good to see ya.. :)

Old Fashioned Chicken Dumplings
When you can't improve upon a great recipe, just pay homage to the cook.. Here is a great recipe, from a great cook..

Shirley Wollard Woodlock learned to make chicken and dumplings while watching her mother, Jennie Wollard Nunn. "Hers were made to perfection," recalls Shirley. "She would always say, 'Don't forget the bay leaves and the pepper.'" Now Shirley always makes her mother's chicken and dumplings to bring to Wollard family reunions. The recipe was passed down from Shirley's grandmother, who grew up in the hills of Tennessee. From Shirley Wollard Woodlock

    * 1 whole fryer chicken or hen
    * 4 to 5 bay leaves
    * salt and pepper, to taste
    * 4 to 6 tablespoons butter
    * pepper, to taste
    *

      Dumplings:
    * 1 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 cup oil
    * 3/4 cup water
    * 2 small eggs
    * 3 cups flour

Wash the chicken and place into a large Dutch oven. Cover well with plenty of water and add bay leaves. Add salt and pepper, and the butter (the more butter, the richer the dish). Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook, uncovered, until the chicken is well done, about 1 hour.

Remove the chicken from the broth. Discard the bay leaves. When the chicken has cooled, remove the meat from the bone and return the deboned chicken to the broth. About 1/2 to 3/4 pot of broth should remain.

For dumplings: In a large bowl, mix together the salt, oil, water, and eggs. Slowly add the flour to the mixture, blending it constantly with a fork. Stir only long enough to mix the dough.

Turn the dough out onto a floured board. Pinch the dough in half, and roll out until thin, about 1/4 inch. Slice the dough into 1/2-inch-wide strips, and cross-slice into pieces 4 to 8 inches long, for ease in handling.

Bring the broth and chicken back to a boil, and pepper well to taste. Drop the dumpling strips into the boiling stock. Boil approximately 20 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the dumplings are done (they'll be puffy). Most of the broth will be absorbed. Serve with red pinto beans and corn bread.
Yield: Makes 8 to 10 servings.
