Turf-conscious bloggers in Paris' rundown, mostly Muslim, suburban immigrant housing estates rival in violent messages threatening to beat senseless and even kill any intruder caught in "our ghetto." Almost every word is misspelled, in both argot slang and pidgin French. These are not empty threats. An average of 14 policemen a day are injured in bloody clashes with jobless youths. France's Interior Ministry said 2,500 police officers had been "wounded" this year. The head of the hard-line trade union "Action Police" Michel Thooris wrote to Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy to describe conditions in housing developments turned slums as "intifada." Police cruisers are pelted daily with stones and "Molotov cocktails" (gasoline-filled bottles with burning wicks that explode on impact) and Mr. Thooris said cops assigned to what was rapidly degenerating into "free fire zones" should be protected in armored vehicles. Entire tall buildings empty into the streets to chase police and free an arrested comrade.

Sarkozy, if he is to win, must find a way to blunt and difuse this movement.
What's the difference between the far right and the far left in France? Do they disagree over how big their white flag should be, or what?
Then offer the ONLY way out.....deportation to the country of origin....

They (a French movie studio) actually made a movie about your post ideas last year. It's a really good action flick like Escape from NY, it's called B 13 or Banlieue 13 subtitled in english. Available on Amazon and elsewhere, make sure you buy a universal zone dvd though.

It won't be long before the last generation of ethnic French, for that point forward to the end of history, are born in many of the "suburb" hospitals in France. Permanent population replacement, and a huge outflow of ethnic French migrants to other countries, like Quebec and Australia and elsewhere. Will happen soon too, it's a matter of maybe 10 years tops in some areas of France and Belgium.

That is all complete BS. France has indeed a big problem with uneducated young muslim males from the lower class. The thing is that they are simply not
a) intelligent enough. (Most of them never completed school)
b) organized enough. (i.e. During the recent "car torching" most of those idiots burned the cars of their own parents in their own banlieue instead of going into the richer (french) suburbs)
c) fertile enough. (The fertility rate of muslim women from north Africa does not differ that much from their ethnically French sisters...)
to "take over" the country.
The recents riots in France can be compared with the 1992 riots in L.A. (Rodney King beating) i.e. although they were much less intensive (In Los Angeles 50 - 60 people were killed and there was broad anarchy in the town while in France "only" a few thousand cars were torched). They are the outcome of frustrated young muslim males who have no chance to find a job or to live from something else than welfare due to their lack of any edudation. Islam is their way of "pride" since they have nothing else that they ever could be proud of. The French system of state socialism is the problem. Instead of providing chances and work it gives those young guys only welfare and futility. A social problem but for sure no intifada.

P.S. I spend lot of times in France and I know exactly what I am talking about.
Considering how much the French Right loves Zidane (all the skinheads in the cheap seats cheer for him while waving swastikas) and speak fondly of the Harikis (Berbers who fought for the French in Algeria), I can't say I am surprised.
Sounds an awful lot like the "ethnic communities" we have here in the U.S.
Now, if you could only address the issue of the lack of masculinity among men on the European continent (especially in France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands). It never ceases to amaze me when I travel to the other side of the Atlantic. Maybe I'm just hanging around with the wrong people.
That is obviously your problem. You should not hang around too much on those gay parades that swapped over to Europe from America. I own a earth-moving business in southern Germany. If you tell my men (or me btw.) that they (we) lack masculinity we probably plug your a** onto the exhaust pipe of one of our heavy dozers. Since my team can turn out quite rough if you are engaged into something like a pub brawl you are well advised not to mention such a assumption.
I understand that some of you have to cultivate their prejudices but that is far away from any reality.

The problems in France are not the fault of socialism, joblessness, or economics. Albeit, tens of thousands of "youths" hanging around aimlessly with nothing to do is a fertile field, but basically it is the fault of Islamic fundamentalism. Socialism, poverty, and unemployment does not breed Jihad among non-Islamic populations.
If not give me reliable sources (please no propaganda stuff from certain groups like the southern Baptists with a fixed political interest) for your presumption.
I know the situation because of my own experience since I am quite often in France for business reasons. I have family in Paris and I speak the language.
I went to school and lived in France for 14 years. I am bilingual and read the French papers and watch french TV every day.
The problem is Islamic fundamentalism. The French and other Europeans refuse to accept that fact. They do so at their own peril.

Islam is completely meaningless in Europe as a political power. This is the plain truth.
Most percentages I see quoted of Muslims living in France are in the 10-15% range, not the 6% range. When their numbers approach 25%, things should really start to change.

Maybe. But they have plenty of sympathizers to swim in.
But militants always are a small minority. It is not numbers which count. Fervor is a great multiplier, as is ruthlessness, as is a vision. It was the same during our Revolution. Only 1/3 of the population supported overthrowing the British Crown, while 1/3 were pro-British and 1/3 apathetic.
IIRC, it was also a minority of Germans who were Nazis or Nazi sympathizers in 1933 - or even voted for Hitler.
One notes the number of terrorists in Iraq are also a small number, but they still are causing unbridled hell, despite strong efforts of military and civil authorities against them.

The Achilles heel of western society is tolerant multiculturalism married to an advanced society vulnerable to demolition. People may individually call Islam a "crazy cult", but they seldom strongly act on it - quite possibly because EU anti-discrimination Laws prevent much public criticism of such "minorities".
A few well placed airliners caused 100 Billion Dollars worth of damage in New York and set back the US economy two years.
Possibilities are endless for those organized and determined to destroy what is so painstakingly built. Timing and will are the key. The means are there and become more viable as local Muslim populations increase and the native populations try and somehow peacefully adapt to their constant aggressions.

Tell that to the Algerians and the French colonials whom they betrayed in the '60s.
Granted, the French are now in their "own" country (although they once considered Algeria an integral part of France), but they are not being assaulted from within all at once, either. The process is slowly gaining steam, but constant. First the Muslims establish their own internal colonies in the beurs. Then, they insist on local Sharia Law and special cultural considerations. Then, they slowly drive out the native French from "their" beurs. Then, they agitate and cause property damage until such behavior is common and accepted by everyone. Then, they prohibit the French police and drive them from "their" streets. Then, they expand their territory and wash/rinse/repeat. All the while, their numbers grow through birth and immigration
At what point do the French put down their foot and stop these outrages? When does the toleration become intolerable?
Islam is completely meaningless in Europe as a political power. This is the plain truth.
Please tell that to Le Pen, who is now courting the Muslims. Also tell that to the Brits. And the Dutch. And the Belgians. And the Swedes. And the Spanish. And the Italians. And the Swiss. They are all making political accomodations.
Twenty years ago we would agree. Not today. And I don't have to live in France or Germany to see the trend there - although I have just returned from a visit to Germany after some years and have noticed larger numbers of Turks in almost every city and town. I can see similar trends in my own country as well. Europe is not alone. This is a worldwide phenomena.
