Strange bedfellows: It turns out that ultra-hot conservative talk show host Michael Savage is backing Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown for state attorney general. "What can I say? I think he'd make a great attorney general compared to the other guy. By the way, who is the other guy?'' Savage said, when asked why he chose Democrat Brown over conservative Republican Chuck Poochigian. Savage, whose rants can be heard locally on KNEW-AM, is backing up his hot talk with some hot money as well. Savage Productions, which lists Savage as president and his wife, Janet Weiner, as director, has donated $5,600 to Brown's campaign. "You have to make choices in an imperfect world,'' Savage said. "And this, this Machugian guy. (Like we said, it's Poochigian.) I never heard of him. I don't even know who he is." Poochigian has spent the past 12 years in Sacramento, first in the Assembly and now in the Senate. Doesn't impress the president of the Savage Nation. "Why bet on a horse that isn't going to win? Why throw your money into the garbage?'' So how did the best-selling author of "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder'' wind up backing a liberal once nicknamed "Governor Moonbeam"? "People change. He changed. He has experience,'' Savage said of Brown. "He started the Oakland military academy -- that was a good thing." And Brown's politics? "He's moved to the center, which is what this socialist state needs," Savage said.

And the next day he rants against the conservatives. This guy is Bipolar, I think.
Quite often he takes a sudden day off, because the weight of the news just makes it too hard to do his job. Something definately mental going on here, sad to say.
This donation follows that pattern. Probably the next day he donated to Moonbeam's opponent.
And deservidly so.
It is a moronic response, which is designed to argue the socialist policies of Dubya, which NOBODY supports here.
What you should be saying is, "Notice we Weiner supporters never respond to the issue at hand".
I never really supported or opposed the war from the start. I thought removing Saddam Hussein would be good, but I always have opposed any kind of nation building, and 9/11 didn't change that.
But this war hasn't gone well.
Ah so napkin's true colors finaly come out.
How are thing's in basement.
Exactly
That would be nice, but let us deal with the reality that we must play with the hand we are being dealt.
Yes, there is no way that the ThugoRats can be put in power -- it will be a socialistic disaster for America.
Absolutely!!
I will vote for the Repubs, as I always have. But not much longer unless they get back to conservatism, working for America instead of their own politics.
Exactly. If they do keep both houses, THEN we constituents go after them tooth and nail. But, if the Dims take control, well, all that Bush and Republican bashing by Savage et al will become moot and they will start to complain, bitch and moan about how BAD the Dims are doing things and within a year they will be longing for the days of Republican control.
I am not a Republican bot, I am a conservative. My first priority is protection of this country and my family. In my opinion, Democrats will not help me in that regard.
Don't worry, I plan to vote straight-ticket republican this November despite my ills about some of the things that are happening with the current republican majority and our president. I really like my republican congressman (he'd win with well over 70% even if I didn't vote) and while I'm no big fan of my current republican governor and his tax increases, I'll vote for him too.
There are no senate races in my state this year.
Good to hear.
Damn, doesn't it suck that we have to pick who we vote for based on the lesser of two evils??
Savage appreciates (the thick dark haired) Mara Liason.
You're right Dane. What was I saying when I said the war in Iraq ain't going well? I mean, it's obviously the primary reason why the republicans are going to win that 60-seat filibuster-proof senate majority we have all been wanting, right?
Obviously he's in it for rating$ more than love of country
I've listened to Savage 8-10 times while driving. My impression of him is that he is a miserable person. Unhappy and miserable. I don't even get to the political. Oh yeah, hateful too. And negative. Did I say miserable?
Hehe..Shhhhh! You can't critique the baby Jesus President Bush and the RNC fake conservatives and RINOS. Shhhh...
"Does Geroge Bush donate $5,000 dollars to former Gov. moonbeam..."
Did Michael Savage choose to support Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey like a certain president?
Well when you give aid and comfort to the MSM as you did, don't blame me.
NapkinUser has a valid point. There are some scenarios that should be explored to change the way the war is being conducted in Iraq. It makes little sense to keep going down the road that we're going when it leads nowhere. There is not enough leadership and too much acceptance of the status quo. Rush described some interesting scenarios last week that had merit.
I'll give you credit for at least admitting Bush has some leftist positions.
Damn, doesn't it suck that we have to pick who we vote for based on the lesser of two evils??
Yes it does. Big time.
Uh like it or not specter is a Republican. Gov. moonbeam is a moonbat democrat, whom it seems moonbat weiner savage agrees with.
And you Kirkwood base your above on MSM rpeorting and spin.
Soory, I don't buy it.
Thanks for the offer, but I don't need your "credit", because this thread is not about Dubya.
