Clarence Thomas is the godfather of his son - maybe the one who is a pubbie.

I'm not conceding a darn thing against a political party that runs away from issues and basically stands for nothing.

Either that kid was coached to say that to Carter by his parents, or Carter was telling a whopper.
NO child looks at someone in his 80's and thinks "I want to grow up to be a wrinkled old man who talks about boring stuff."

Chris Matthews with his opening .. he'll later compare this presidency with the new Robin Williams movie
Can he not ever compare real life with that of the movies?
Oh Geez ... he has Woodward on his panel

Very intelligent observation about news cycles, Rod!
I'm off to church. I am also a Catechist (meaning Sunday School Teacher), so won't be back until 12:00 central. Hold the fort!!!!

That's interesting! Listening to Bolton now with Timmy! He is so cool calm and collected! Tim is starting to sound shrill!

NO child looks at someone in his 80's and thinks "I want to grow up to be a wrinkled old man who talks about boring stuff."I was bored with politics as a child. I was more interested in rolling in the dirt, getting together with my friends as we threw rocks at one another, and climbing trees.

I appreciate you picking up on what I thought was the most interesting tidbit from Chris Matthews show.
"Borger says we will discover Hastert knew little or nothing about Foley." Coming at the tail end of the show, Borger got no comment and as far as I could tell, no reaction from Matthews or the rest of the panel. But really, the attacks on Hastert have all been personal and bogus, and the MSM has just piled on for the hell of it. Let's give Borger credit for stating the obvious, but not for telling Matthews something he didn't already know.

I would give anything if our candidates were allowed to run segments of the path to 911 as commercials for our side, but I guess that's too much to ask.

Chris and Woodward are claiming that President Bush doesn't want to admit or face the truth about Iraq
Woodward says there is one attack every hour in Iraq

That would have been about the junior legal girlie drinking in the club bar with Guantanamo guards (E-2s thru E-5s). She said the guards boasted about beating the inmates.
Sounds to me like they were really pulling her chain, and perhaps hoping to get somewhere with her.

Hi RodGuy
I can't find it now, but I remember seeing something over the last week that said that President Bush will be signing the fence bill in a 'big ceremony' - right before the election (IIRC it was around Oct 21)
To: BigSkyFreeper
Andrea is up now saying that Bush is being shielded from the facts
Says no one has the guts to tell the president the truth

The DBM has been trying to get Bush to admit mistakes ever since he walked into the White House.

Bolton and Rice are doing an excellent job explaining the significance of the UN resolution regarding North Korea. Unfortunately, Fox is having trouble with Dr. Rice's connection. Before they lost her, she pretty much said "now do you see the importance of keeping all of NoKos neighbors together on this matter" rather than just having the US hang out there alone.
