The FBI is investigating whether Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Pa., used his influence to secure lobbying and consulting contracts for his daughter, two people familiar with the inquiry said Saturday.
The inquiry focuses on lobbying contracts worth $1 million that Weldon's daughter, Karen Weldon, obtained from foreign clients and whether they were assisted by the congressman, they said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because of the confidentiality of the criminal investigation.

when the the investigation into madame harry reid begin???
....thought so...
They're not my crew!
My thoughts on this are summed up very well by William F Buckley
"I support the rightward most viable candidate."
The Clinton political machine is also behind this one.
IIRC, Bill hand picked the challenger for Weldon's seat.
Another I.E.D. (Internal Enemies Device)
Carry on.
it doesn't matter what "we" believe - the sheeple don't know anything about Soros or CREW or why Weldon is being targeted. and he wasn't running that strongly to begin with.
"FBI Investigating Pa. Rep. Curt Weldon"
You know he's onto something when they resort to that.
If people don't like lobbyists, then maybe they could consider eliminating all of the unconstitutional crap that the federal government does and pare it back to what was enumerated for it in Article 1 Section 8. Then there'd be less to lobby about and therefore fewer lobbyists. Just a thought. I don't expect anyone to actually take that seriously.
Can somebody please explain to me why Alberto Gonzales' Justice Department seems to only investigate Republican members of Congress?
Soros controls the FBI?!?!
Come on, we've had some bad eggs. Face it. Ney, Foley, etc. It doesn't taint the whole house Republicans any more then William Jefferson or Gary Studds taints all democrats (well, other then the fact that we seem to be willing to punish our members more...but that's a different story).
CF is right that we'll probably lose this seat as a result.
The House is absolutely f*$ked this year. I'm just hoping we hold the Senate.
If Curt Weldon loses, then the remaining GOP Congresscritters will act even more cravenly for fearing of the "objective" media targeting them.
