Islam and America

What do these two words have in common? Are they terms of conflict, or are they compatible?

Islam is the fastest growing system of faith in America and the world. There is no question about this. There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, and there are already, 8-10 million Muslims in North America. As a direct result of the 9/11 tragedy, and several international conflicts, Islam and Muslims have been severely distorted and misunderstood.

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

America is the world’s superpower and the most advanced country in the world. Its citizens enjoy a higher quality of life and social privileges than nearly every other society on earth. Yet, a provocative foreign policy, has stained its international image, and on the domestic front, it is facing many critical challenges which are a cause for every American to be concerned for the future.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

On Saturday, October 28th, you have the chance to hear this subject expounded upon by world renowned speakers. Afterwards, you will be able to understand and make clearer decisions for yourself.

We are a group of Americans-Muslims; we have two obligations:

As Americans: we must promote peace and harmony between our brothers and sisters in faith and with our fellow Americans. In order to do that, it becomes a must that we first wash away the grime of misunderstanding between the Muslims and others. The way to achieve this is by conveying to them the correct image of true Islam through God's word, the Noble Quran.

As Muslims: we are commanded by God to get to know each other and interact at a level of honor and righteousness. God says in the Quran (in meaning): "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full Knowledge and is well-acquainted (with all things)". {Chapter 49, Verse 13}

Also, Allah (God) has warned us in the Quran against concealing his words and not proclaiming them. God says in the Quran (meaning):

"Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allah and cursed by the cursers." {Chapter 2, Verse 159}

"Indeed, those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book, and purchase a small gain therewith (of worldly things), they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them, and for them will be a painful torment. Those are they who have purchased misguidance at the price of Guidance, and torment at the price of forgiveness. Alas, such boldness they show towards the Fire. That is because Allah has sent down the Book (the Quran) with truth, and indeed those who find dispute regarding the Book are in a distant division." {Chapter 2, Verse 174-176}

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has taught us to love for our neighbors all what we love for ourselves. Therefore, we pray to the Almighty God to spread his mercy upon all of humankind and to guide all of us to His straight path, and into paradise.

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) likewise ordered us to deliver God's message to the world, so that perhaps they may discover the truth and draw nearer to God. Allah (God) Says (meaning):
"Verily, this Quran guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers, who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise). It is up to God to guide whom he will, and misguides whom he will, but we are ordered to say:"

"Say O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims."

{Chapter 3, Verse 64}

On our way home from work this evening, we spotted a new billboard along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway which reads, ISLAMANDAMERICA.COM and had red, white, and blue graphics. Forgive me but I can't remember what else was on the billboard because after saying to my husband, "What the #$@& is that?", I immediately whipped out my smartphone and went to the site. Apparently, there is going to be an event on Sunday, October 28th at York College to, um, convert us?

This billboard faces west. Directly facing lower Manhattan towards the WTC. It's located across the BQE from the Home Depot near the Gowanus Canal.

And then they can kill you, because having refused to convert, you are no longer an innocent.

"Allah" is more than likely the demonic spirit characterized as the "prince of the kingdom of Persia" in Daniel 10:13 that Michael the Archangel fought—and opposed to all things we understand to be our Judeo/Christian heritage.

And they are, as witnessed here, aggressively proselytizing.

York College is in South Jamaica. It is the crack capital of NY, though after Rudy took office he made a big dent in it. York College has hosted a wide variety of NOI events, and goes out of its way to give a podium to Afrosupremacists.

Can anyone clarify the meaning of the above quote for me? According to my interpretation, since I don't believe in the Koran, I gather that it is my intense misfortune that God has chosen to "misguide" me, and therefor, I must endure God's wrath for the rest of eternity as delineated in multiple versus of the Koran. I have read the Koran, and I can say that I am in for a very bad time!

This similar problem arises in other religions, ie. God gave us the gift of rational thinking. But if we use the gift to arrive at our own personal concept of God, or indeed that God doesn't even exist, then we are told that we will be punished by God. So, why did God give us the gift of rational thinking to begin with? It all seems very unfair, to say the least.
