The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.
He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.
We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

God keep Tonkin (Brian) close in Your powerful arms and give him strength and courage and peace.
I keep checking in wishing Tonkin has changed his mind. I do pray for him daily, asking the one above to shower Tonkin with strength and healing. I miss Tonkin so much.

Tonk, tomorrow we’re burying the family member I told you about who served in the Navy and retired from the Coast Guard. God blessed the two of us with some time to spend together in the last few months. We worked through those problems I told you about, and he died peacefully.
I hope you’ll be coming back soon. There’s so much catching up to do.
Hi Rosie. I got a call from the hospice asking that I send a copy of Tonk’s ID (which of course I did) so we now know a) he is still amongst us and b) something has changed that they would need to ask for his ID. Of course they cannot tell give us any information. I pray whatever the change he has peace of heart.
I’m still praying for him. Also for you and his family as you anxiously hope for a change of heart. I pray the recent change in his condition is good news, that he is stronger and healthier.

He’a always not far from my thoughts. I’ll always have a place in my heart for him and will always love him. I don’t know if he’ll get to hear this or not but wanted to make it known. I’ve respected his wishes to be left alone, though it makes me very sad. I hope he can find peace with all that’s happened. I know I often think how different my life would be if fate hadn’t been so cruel. But, I’m so thankful that I did have him in my life, even if it was for just a brief time. He’s a very special man who didn’t deserve to have this happen to him.
Also, I’d like to thank the TWO people that were nice to me here in our time of need. That really meant a lot to me.
I’ll take the request for ID as a positive. Thanks for keeping us updated.
