The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.
He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.
We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

Power of Prayer Bump!
More prayers are on the way for Mr. Tonkin and family.
MEDICAL UPDATE: Brian will go back to the hospital tomorrow for tests to hopefully discover the source of this bleed and stop it. His numbers have continued to drop and are now a source of concern. GI team will run their tests and let us know after results come back. There has been no change with his right leg. His left arm is a little bit better and he can almost grasp. Nurses and Matt still holding the phone when needed. Very little body strength overall.
*This update was received last night when I had already logged off. Brian will be headed to the hospital today.
FAMILY UPDATE: Brian keeps Matt busy going on rolling tours of the ward.
They have a good time socializing and looking around. Brian has begun
reading the first printout of this tread on his own. It makes a difference
him holding the 2" print out as opposed to someone reading them to him. He is overwhelmed with appreciation for everyone's warm wishes and prayers.
Matt says he even managed a little smile today (facial expression has been
absent since the stroke) so this is more good news. From us to each and
every one of you I want to personally thank you again for your continued thoughts and prayers. They mean the world to Brian. I also join in prayer for everyone who is in need and thanks for prayers answered. Kathy in Alaska, thanks for the song earlier on this thread. It is a comfort.

We will continue to keep everyone updated on Mr. Tonkin's progress. The family does update us when they have the chance. Updates may start to come every few days rather than daily. We are grateful for any updates we've received from the family.
Also, if you don't mind...I will ping everyone later to the prayer threads of Zac's Mom, kattracks, and JulieRNR21's husband's prayer threads. I went to one last night and noticed that Mr. Tonkin had pinged everyone to it. Whenever someone needed prayer, he was always there. He'll be back!
