The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.
He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.
We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

Prayers for tonk!!!! amom what's happening with Brian?
Brian is such a trooper. I know he's got some hard days ahead of him. But I also know he's one strong man. He's going to need people to stand by him and to stay strong with him. He's going to need our continued prayers too. I know he'll have those...
Today we heard a wonderful sermon about how so many people think of God as a god contained in this "box" we've put Him in. So many people limit what they think God is and what He can do. But God who created all of us isn't limited that way. He's capable of doing so much more than we ever imagine. Including healing Brian. We need to learn how to think outside the box when it comes to God...
We need to "really" learn how to believe and trust in God.

22 Oct 06 update:
MEDICAL UPDATE: Brian continues to hold his own. PT and OT ongoing.
Numbers in good ranges. Will get update from Neuro doctors tomorrow.
FAMILY REPORT: Brian is working hard and the PT and OT are very exhausting.
He is relearning the basics. Another family member will arrive tomorrow to help keep the spirits up. We’ve not had much time for chit chat rather wanting him to reserve his energy for his "workouts". Taking one step at a time is the order of the day there are more forward steps than backward. We are thankful for your prayers and know that with those the miracles that are needed to see our friend truly back in the saddle will occur if it is in the "plan".
23 Oct 06 update
MEDICAL UPDATE: Numbers are dropping again. If not stabalized by Weds will go back to hosp to run additional (different) tests to find the source. Rock and a hardspot raises it's ugly head again. If bleed is not stopped they will be forced to take him off the baby asprine they give him to assist the circulation. Neuro and GI will get back to me after an assessment meeting tomorrow.
FAMILY UPDATE: Son arrived to the Rehab Unit in the early afternoon today.
He took his dad for a wheelchair stroll arond the back area. Brian sounded good, his voice stronger this am then very tired later in the day. Please continue to keep Brian in your prayers as he is still not out of the woods and now with this bleed coming up again he is really in need of each and every one of them.
MoJo UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that have continued prayers and support for Mr. Tonkin and his family.
Also, please continue to send prayers to other FReepers whose prayer requests are just as important as Mr. Tonkin's.
