We will see the Governor's race numbers released tomorrow, I'd guess. Harris just can't seem to catch a break in this race -- and too bad, because Nelson certainly was vulnerable this year.

Why couldn't Floridians nominate a candidate who could win?
This is a disgrace.

For a while, Katherine Harris was showing improvement as a candidate. She avoided any gaffes and even showed some poise on the campaign stump. But then she appeared to attack Bill Nelson's Christianity.
Katherine Harris has many virtues and talents, but electoral office isn't the proper outlet for them. Hopefully, she'll find her niche after the election.

Florida voters disapprove 59 - 37 percent of the job President George W. Bush is doing. This poll must have been confined to the state's rectal region (Broward county and all points south)--this in no way reflects the consensus of opinion in the panhandle sans the socialist republic of Tallahasse.

If she is losing 25% of the republican votes, those people arent Republicans. They are crapheads.

It is, in a way, hard to say how this race will turn out.
If you want a conservative, to vote on judges, national security or energy undependence then democrat or republican you have to vote for Harris. In Voluisa county two 'hob nobs' were held. Volusia county has more democrats than republicans. Both events were held in democrat strong holds. One in Deland, the county seat, and the other at the local paper's, News-Journal, arts center. In both cases Harris and the other republicans won the vote. In neither case were the results posted. Fear of the truth or control of the masses either way things are not always as they seem.

Not a real surprise. She hasn't run a good campaign and has never had much of a chance. Shame we couldn't have come up with a better nominee.

I'm surprised this wasn't posted by somebody claiming it is evidence Harris is catching up. I'm no expert on her or Florida, but this one has been a disaster from teh word go. Constant desertions and criticism from her own campaign staff, and a republican leadership that totally bad mouthed her but didn't have aviable alternative.
Just for the record, if I lived in Florida I would vote for her against a democrat without a second thought.

Rush is in FL and he has said recently that Harris is only behind 10 pts. And .. Rush said that if the RNC would just get behind her that number is not insurmoutable.

Crap like this just underscores that there is something wrong with these polls. Florida is the STRONGEST GOP state in the country. The rat has virtually NO chance in any of the statewide races except Senate. We will win by big margins all up and down the ticket, again except for the Senate race.
As far as Harris losing by 80 points or whatever ridiculous number they want to say: Bull shiite!
it is simply not structurally possible for any Republican to lose by more than 10 points in Fla. for a simple reason: It is not possible for a Democrat to win statewide by more than 10 points. Nelson is NOT a nationally known rat figure. He has zero star power so there is no extra draw for him. The pre election final poll numbers will be so dismal for the rat in Fla. that many rank and file rats will stay home. How can I say this? The very poor showing in the Fla. rat primaries, that's how.
