We will see the Governor's race numbers released tomorrow, I'd guess. Harris just can't seem to catch a break in this race -- and too bad, because Nelson certainly was vulnerable this year.

That's a STRAW poll. Not a real poll. A STRAW poll.

Why couldn't Floridians nominate a candidate who could win?
This is a disgrace.

Sumtins a kilter. Ya think? Maybe it's because the first poll was held at a political rally where people paid for the privilege of casting a vote, and where anyone, even 6 year old, could cast a ballot.
To: SandRat
Sumtins a kilter.
It was a straw poll by Mrs. Harris' committee.
To: Jim Noble
Could not agree more. After all the gaffes and mistakes her campaign made she STILL won the primary. Ridiculous.

For a while, Katherine Harris was showing improvement as a candidate. She avoided any gaffes and even showed some poise on the campaign stump. But then she appeared to attack Bill Nelson's Christianity.
Katherine Harris has many virtues and talents, but electoral office isn't the proper outlet for them. Hopefully, she'll find her niche after the election.

Wait a bit. Pretty soon the Harris fanatics will show up and tell you how their girl is going to overcome all odds and win.

It so aggravating to see the Republicans give Senate seats to the Democrats. There are probably 10 Democratic Senators representing states that voted for President Bush and whose people are basically conservative in their thoughts and values.

The poll cited in that thread is a straw poll, not scientific.

She's a real conservative. I would think that would make ya'll happy. Not some electable RINO.

Thanks, I had seen that poll and it was definitely a surprise to see another one which was so diametrically at odds with it!

Florida voters disapprove 59 - 37 percent of the job President George W. Bush is doing. This poll must have been confined to the state's rectal region (Broward county and all points south)--this in no way reflects the consensus of opinion in the panhandle sans the socialist republic of Tallahasse.
