No surprises here. Fallin is a popular three-term Lieutenant Governor. She'll win easily and I could see her as a potential candidate for Senate from Oklahoma whenever Inhofe retires (possibly in 2008).

She will be the first Congresswoman from Oklahoma since 1921.

Is this a open Republican seat.

Yes. Ernest Istook is the incumbent and he's running for Governor.

Istook will still pull through, despite the sniping from our own side.

I haven't heard an Istook campaign ad yet. And there is much to run on against the incumbent. What is going on with his campaign? I thought he would win easily but for some reason he hasn't got out of the starting gate. How about the Lt. Governor? Any chance for us in that one? You would never know there was an election around here. Is it just me, am I in a vacuum or something?

It's been an incompetent campaign, from everything I've seen and heard.

The Lt. Gov. race will be close. The Dim has been leading in the polls, but most people don't pay attention that race anyway.
