GOP Leaders Seek Probe of Berger Papers
Breitbart/AP ^ | 10/11/2006 | ERICA WERNER/ AP

A group of House Republicans called Wednesday for a congressional investigation into the improper handling of classified documents by President Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy Berger. Berger admitted last year that he deliberately took classified documents out of the National Archives in 2003 and destroyed some of them at his office. He pleaded guilty in federal court to one charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material and was fined $50,000.

Holy Freaking About Damn Time!

DITTO!! Hey, Neil Boortz brought up a great point on his broadcast today. The GOP needs to make political hay out of it:

The pride and joy of San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi assailed the Boy Scouts for not allowing gay Scout Masters, i.e. allowing adult gay men to be around young boys on camping trips. Now, she is assailing the GOP for not keeping a gay guy away from teenagers. Can anyone say "blatant hippocrisy"?

Oh my goodness....if the Pubbies would just quit whining and start kickin' butt....

Dick Armey was on local radio show last week saying someone like Sensenbrenner should run for President because he says what he means, no matter what the press, democrats, or illegal immigrants think. He really is a breath of fresh air. He was dumped on by the local media last year for voting against a blank check for Katrina relief, but is getting the last laugh with all the stories of waste and fraud coming from the cesspool called louisiana

Watch the Rats accuse the Pubs of dirty politics because of this. They will (with a straight face) accuse the Pubs of trying to unfairly influence the elections (which is probably true). It's about time!

You're welcome :) It just keeps getting better.

President Bush did a absolutely fantastic job at the presser today putting the liberals in full scramble mode,  AP reporting Dingy Harry getting caught with his hands in the cookie jar "big time" and then Shay lays some good old fashion smack down on Teddy the murderer.

Sensenbrenner doesn't care who he makes mad...and I know he has been one of the leading Reps to demand an ID to give to immigrants...and other of the more controversial immigration legislation.

Have you ever watched him chair a hearing in the House??

If you haven't, you have to!! He is great...he has the timer, and even if someone is in the middle of a WORD, and it goes off, Sensenbrenner will flat shut them DOWN. He is a HOOT!

Whats the point of this three years after the incident and after it has gone through the legal system? The appropriate time for an investigation was when the event happened not three years later. This comes off as nothing but poorly executed election year politics. I wonder who came up with this idea?

"Rove's October Surprise????"

If it is then it'll go down as about the least explosive and weakest October surprise ever. I can't imagine people getting very excited about a three year old incident from a guy who no longer was in office.

I sense that the Republican leadership lacks imagination, is feckless, gutless, inept and weak. They've wasted our votes by continually acting to please liberals instead of the conservative base. Then they have the _____ nerve to keep asking me for money - "we need a donation now, or we'll lose". Vomit. Of course Democrats are Stalinists. Need a new party, the Reagan Party.

Berger started running the muck about NK so he's reinserted himself in the policy discussions and is now fair game again.

Part of the plea was that Berger would cooperate with any investigation concerning the stolen documents and I guess the Republicans are ready to utilize that part because Berger has reinserted himself in policy discussions.

The Berger wrist slap for treason was a true low point of the Bush Administration. Had an FDR advisor stolen and/or destroyed Pearl Harbor documents during the 1945 investigation, he would have been executed.

The Burglar just couldn't keep his mouth shut.  You're right he's "fair game"
