TAMPA, FL- Congresswoman Katherine Harris, the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, soundly defeated Bill Nelson this evening by a 54% to 45% margin in the straw poll conducted at the Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park. The Harris campaign continues to build momentum, engendering tremendous grassroots support throughout the state with a pro-growth, pro-family message that resonates across the political spectrum.
Congresswoman Harris commented, I appreciate the strong support of a majority of voters who are disillusioned with Bill Nelsons lack of leadership and his record of voting against Floridas best interests. I will fight for Florida in the United States Senate.
The Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park straw poll illustrates the widespread support that exists for Harris consistent message of cutting taxes, eliminating wasteful spending, protecting the institution of marriage and opposing amnesty for illegal citizens. Congresswoman Katherine Harris is the only candidate with a demonstrated record of leadership who will fight for Floridas values in the U.S. Senate.
Katherine Harris, the Republican Candidate for the United States Senate, currently serves as the Representative for Floridas 13th Congressional District. After receiving a Masters in Public Policy from Harvards Kennedy School of Government, she continued a distinguished career in public service to her native state that began in the State Senate and as Floridas last elected Secretary of State. She resides in Longboat Key with her husband Anders Ebbeson and his 24-year-old daughter, Louise along with the constituents of District thirteen.
Ok, let me know where on Dale Mabry. I suggest the cross at Kennedy. That will give you full exposure and create a bigger traffic jam than usual. I work right up the street, so will be there the day after the election looking for ya. Harris' headquarters are less than a mile away.
TPIWWP
The fact that they have to issue a press release about the results of a straw poll, without mentioning any of their own internal polls, says something.
LOL, Ok, I was wrong. Nice job.
No, not more scientific by any stretch of the imagination. What I'm saying is that the MSM polls underestimate support for Harris and this straw poll overestimates her support. I don't expect her to win. I live in the Florida panhandle and we don't get much news at all about what Martinez and Nelson are doing. (Jeb gets much, much more press, for example.) Nelson hasn't pissed off the people of Florida enough to warrant a change among folks who are not constantly tuned into politics. Katherine's disasterous campaign, on the other hand, has made the news numerous times. Blame the MSM and Harris both.
I see things the same way. I am having the same feeling I had on the day of the 2004 presidential election. At about 2:30p.m. I was listening to Rush when the drive by media started putting out information on exit polling and they showed that Kerry was winning.
The liberals were thrilled and I remember somebody reporting that President Bush was told that the exit polling didn't look good. The president just said, "It is what it is". I will never forget that day.
The liberals just knew they had the election in the bag, just as they think now. We shall see.
Nelson is a faker.....and Florida deserves better!
"Okay folks, bookmark this threat. Katherine Harris beats Bill Nelson and my clothes come off at high noon on Dale Mabry."
Give us 30 minutes to draw a crowd.
BTW, if you really want to ''fraunt'' the ls and rs, then your text should likely have read:
''All you Japanese?''
I hope she beats Nelson a do nothing or do nothing right.
Political campaigns don't release internal polls.
That's why they're called "Internal."
Duh...
I live in one of the most liberal counties (Brwd) and Saturday I went to our "Issues Awareness" montly meeting in our "mega" church. None of the participant there could never picture to cast a vote for anyone else but for Ms. Kathrine Harris!!
We firmly believe those polls published are nothing but rigged or purposely slanted at the democRATs. I normally don't watch the news except for tonight to see and hear their takes on N.K.
On ABC they had polls that was surprisingly more favorably to the GOP after their "little" Foley follies. Right after I switched over to perky courrie and she was talking with the guy who replaced dan blather (schieffer??), and o-boy, they had a totally opposite negative poll results where the dims now already have won the House and Senate.
A typically "Drive-By" L.S.M. propaganda. The real polls are the ones on the evening of November 7th. at 8:00 P.M.!!!
Just remember, I only drink Carlsberg!!!
Yep. The "as-naut" cadet b.n. will be sent out of D.C. into "space" for GOOD!!!
A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO YOUR COUNTRY!!!
