First there is nothing in Christianity that compares to Wahabism. They brainwash kids into hatred of Jews and Christians to kill them. There is nothing that compares to many of the violent versions of Islam.

The Koran teaches violence and conversion or die. Your example of Deuteronomy was God demanding the killing of a people who were attacking the Jews and taking their women and children. He demanded the elimination of that sect because they were evil and worshiped Baal.

The Old Testament only shows over and over, whenever the Jews went away from God trouble followed and vice versa.

Christ came and became the ultimate sacrifice which eliminated the Old Testament laws.

There is no comparison of the two. You may find isolated incidents but you cannot find the widespread murder and terrorism you find in Islam. Islam is a violent religion.
